  • After one year as a Construction worker.
Color: Black
I have owned this headset since January 2022 and I am general in construction. I was worried this headset was going to be good sound and no durability but I was greatly mistaken. So after finding its limits, I am still confident in giving it 5 stars. Here is a breakdown. Over the last year I have done countless amount of concrete jobs (grinding, cutting, pouring, rain and shine). My headset has been coated in dust, dirt and rain and I just opened it up excepting to find it caked with dust inside but I was wrong. Clean as a whistle inside! I found its limit this summer while I was doing a roofing job. At this point I'm getting carless and I left it on the hot roof. Must have gotten over 100F! It started vibrating like crazy making a loud buzzing sound which caught my attention. Surprisingly it still works, it just has a vibrating fit a few times a day, but turning it off and on again fixes it. There was this one time when the adjustable bass was turned all the way down no matter where I set the slider. Again, I thought I broke it, but that never happened again. The battery life is great! If I remember to charge it. A full charge will get me through an 8+hour day and then some. Plus I can throw it on a vehicle charger for 15min and I get a couple hours of charge. I almost always have this thing on full volume but almost never turn the bass up higher than 1/4th. The built in TILE tracker has come in clutch so many times! The slider for the base gets scratched pretty quick but I'm not fancy enough to care. The adjustable headstrap part is starting to loose its grip a tiny bit. Like I'm just now noticing it slipping through out the day, but again, I abuse this thing at work. I'm rarely this happy with a product. I have loved Skullcandy's stuff since I was a kid, and this was my first expensive headset purchase. Not a single thing disappointed me. I remember this headset changing the way I listen to music. The sound quality is the best I know. I'm debating buying a second pair to store while its on sale for when (IF) my current one gives out. I might also experiment with different ear pads. ... show more

  • Believe the hype! The bass is surreal and so much fun.
Color: Black
Insane bass unlike anything you’ll ever try as far as headphones other than the previous crushers and Crusher evo by Skullcandy themselves. The sound quality is amazing don’t believe the YouTube reviewers saying that this should be a secondary pair of headphones and that they provide only bass this are the real deal all around. The sound quality is a solid 8 out of 10. I own the Bose Q45 and their bass is lacking those are a higher end more expensive headphones and this ones sound almost as good quality wise but with higher volume, more customizable and pack “WAY” more Bass like day and night difference. The only things the Bose Q45 got on the Crusher ANC are better cushion, the pads won’t get as hot and a bit more clarity when listening to instruments other than that this is a cheaper all around better option. The positives: - You guessed it! Ridiculously brain rattling bass that you can control and adjust to your liking. - Secure fit, this things won’t fall out of your head even in hot and sweaty gym sessions. - They feel very sturdy and definitely not cheap although a little bit heavy which is fine. They feel much better than other more expensive headphones. - They look really cool and are very customizable you can change the pads for a variety of different colors and there’s a lot of cool stuff on Amazon for them. Only negatives are: ( Not much to complain here) - The ear pads can get hot pretty quick in about 15-20 minutes, considering most of us got this headphones for the gym that’s something to think about but you can buy different pads and replace them with some that are made of a different material. Not a big issue whatsoever. - The sensory bass volume sometimes glitches after charging it with a different type C USB that isn’t the manufacturers (based on other user’s observations) or when the battery is low. It happened to me once so far but it’s easy to resolve. To resolve this issue just restart them with the following steps; POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP for 10 seconds, and boom problem fixed! Other than those two issues I have 0 complains so far they blew my mind, more like rattled my brain 🤯 worth every penny!!! Skullcandy always Delivers! ... show more

  • They said "It shakes your brain." I said "Prove it."

Let's get the basics out of the way. First things, first. These headphones are Bluetooth 5.0 compatible. Allowing very high quality Bluetooth sound, and distance. Plus it comes with, and utilizes USB 2.0 for high speed charging. I love high quality very loud sounding stereo systems. I can tell if certain sound frequencies are missing from the music I listen to especially bass. I don't like it when I'm listening to music with a lot of bass, but when It gets to a part with low bass. The speakers will distort, and make a farting sound, or even worse. Will not play it at all. If you are like me. Buy these immediately. The treble range is great, and if you are a true bass head like I am. These will not disappoint. I never thought that a set of headphones could cover a complete range of bass frequencies for a reasonable amount of money. These headphones clear my sinuses. That's how loud the bass can get. They cover the full bass range from mid 180htz all the way down to 20htz. They can easily be adjusted from normal casual listening. To vibrating against your ears. All you have to do is slide the bass adjustment on the headphones forward, or backward. You don't have to pull up the app on your phone, or computer. Like you would with other headphones. Which is very convenient. The ANC isn't perfect, but If you intend to use these headphones at the volume I do. You won't hear anything around you at all. Plus it doesn't give you that "I'm in a fish bowl effect." That some of the slightly better noise cancelling headphones do. Now for the best part. The most impressive aspect of these headphones to me is. They don't have any distortion problems at all. Even when I turned them up to max volume, and bass. I tried with multiple genres of music. From intense double bass drum heavy metal. To very low frequency drum and bass tracks. Just to see if there are any distortion problems. There are none. The engineers did an outstanding job creating a seriously loud headphone set, but not quite loud enough to sound bad. Even when you almost expect they would. I would also like to add that these are very comfortable. They are relatively light weight. The padding both on the ear, and top of the head are great. They do make my ears hot after a couple of hours, but that is the same with all over the ear headphones for me. The fit is snug enough that I don't have to worry about them falling off if I look up, or bend down to pick up something. Yet loose enough that they are still comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I also loved how Amazon had them brought to my doorstep. The very next day, so I didn't have to wait to try my new toy. ... show more

  • One of a kind set of headphones!!
Color: Black
First of all...I have been a Skullcandy fan for many many years. Build quality seems very good on these which is very important. Noise cancellation is decent but not great. One thing that improves this however is the noise isolation of these. When I am listening to these almost all outside noise is gone. They are very comfortable to me but then again everyone's ears are different. I am very satisfied with the battery life and how fast they charge from dead (either to a full charge or just a quick charge for a walk with the dogs or for cleaning the house etc.) Now for the sound quality. The old version of the crusher 360 might just be a touch better on the highs and mids but these have the best lows I have ever heard (and felt) from a pair of over ear cans!! The app to build a sound profile for you is nice and I can tell a difference when using it. Lots of complaints regarding with the difference between what your phone or other device says compared to the app for battery level. My take on this is if the app says you have 63 percent your device will round up to 70. This is true with all headphones I have ever used. I have never had my phone tell me that the battery is at any percent except for 10, 20, 30, 40 and so on. I have had these for a week now and have listened to them for almost 80 hours( I work very long hours) I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a one of a kind experience in what headphones should do and sound like. ... show more

  • Boom boom wow!
Color: Black
I bought these headphones to replace the original Wireless crushers I bought a few years back. These headphones are the most base intensive headphones I've ever owned. One review I saw compared the base from these headphones and compared them to being kicked in the head by a mule, he was not wrong. The packaging is understated and well thought out the headphones come with a hard shell case usb-c charging cable headphone jack cable and the headphones themselves. The fit and finish of this unit is impressive. I bought the black headphones and they are understated slick and look very nice. While these headphones are heavy they are not prohibitively so. The clamp Force on my head is nice I do not worry about these headphones falling off as I do yard work or work out. The noise canceling is decent. While they are not as active as the Bose qc2 these headphones block out a lot of the Ambient sound. With sound canceling on I do not feel like I'm in a tunnel or have the pressure effect often associated with active noise canceling. My listing environment is noisy as my house is on a busy road and my Aquarium produces a fair bit of sound. The filter noise from my aquarium is all but locked out however I can still hear dripping sounds from the filters. In addition when the ANC is on there is an audible hiss similar to a cassette tape. This hiss is not noticeable when sound from music or other media is played back through this headset. I do not find the hiss annoying but it is sad that Skullcandy couldn't work around this issue. The first thing I did after opening the package was turn on the headphones and paired them with my tablet. Pairing mode is very simple and quick and I had no problems with playback. I opened up YouTube and played a song by the Black Eyed Peas with the bass turned all the way up. Let me tell you that was an experience. After listening to the song I played around with the base slider and found that songs that already have a lot of bass don't need a lot of help from these headphones and I turn the base slider down near to the bottom. Songs however that don't have a lot of bass I was able to have the slider up much higher and found it to be a very enjoyable experience. I played Pachelbel's Canon in D with piano and cello and found with the base turned up I was able to hear the low notes on the piano and found that it sounded like a live performance what I mean is the haptic base vibrations made the piano feel as if it was in the room with me. I then listened to a few tracks that I really like from Mannheim Steamroller and Kurt bester playing with with the bass slider to find the best sound environment. Listening to music with these headphones is dynamic and Rich and I found myself becoming emotional while listening to favorite tracks. Other reviews complain about the mids and the highs not being reproduced well however I prefer these headphones to my Bose qc2 for music. The reason being I can adjust exactly how much bass I want in my music. While there is an app that helps the user customize their listening preferences I found I did not need to do so. While the Bass on these headphones is haptic meaning there is a mechanical vibration that activates with low frequencies the effect is like having a subwoofer moving air in the listening environment. The haptic Bass as well as the low register from the earphones themselves makes music come alive. Most people are saying that this headset is only for bass heads, but those people are missing the point of this headphone. Sure the user can turn the bass up all the way and make their teeth rattle and it's kind of fun to do that once in awhile, the reality is this headset allows the user to customize their listening preferences in a way that is unavailable from any other headset. I find the reproductions of the high and the mid-range to be decent bright and clear and with the bass slider I can customize and have full control of exactly how much Bass I want while listening to music. I recorded this review using the microphone on the headphones. I found that my voice sounded natural and not muted as one would expect from ANC monitor headphones. Having the microphone built in is a nice touch. I think these would be great for playing games even though there is not a boom mike like most gaming headphones this shows a boom mic is not necessary when playing games. This partly justifies the price of this headset as it can be used for gaming phone calls and for listening to music. Additionally this headset comes with the tile feature built in. If you are worried about losing your headphones or leaving them at the coffee shop or not being able to locate them which was the case for my original crushers and necessitated the replacement, the tile feature will help you locate where your headphones are and works very well. While this headset is not for everyone I find it is quickly becoming my go-to headset. The only downside is this headset went on sale the day after I ordered it. I did contact Amazon only to find that they no longer guarantee lowest price and I was out of luck. This is not acceptable when one considers the price of Amazon Prime and soured the experience when buying these headphones. In conclusion I would recommend these headphones for anyone who wants an immersive sound experience. Not only is the build quality the fit and finish and feel of these headphones impressive, they're also feature rich with app support and support for the tile feature built in this is a good choice for those who use headphones and are looking for an immersive experience. ... show more

  • Love these Love these
Color: Black
To start I live with 3 GSDs and a partner on an opposite sleep schedule. These beauties have become my go to. Sitting ever ready (if not on me) as I'm a music and scary story junkie. If not doing the domestics I like to enjoy movies and video games and these do not disappoint. They also intelligently plug into a Xbox controller and have bass that puts most gamer headsets to shame. Fair warning: Skyrim intro on max base will rattle your skull and pull you in completely. These allow me to enjoy audio at high volumes with excellent sound while not disturbing others, awkward inner ear pain, or falling off as soon as any movement occurs(ever lost your headset bending over to clean up after your dog???). Wearing glasses some over the ear headphones cause issue but these are comfortable for hours. The noise canceling is amazing for dryers, freezers, compressors, and other domestic/construction sounds. These seem relatively solid and hold a charge amazingly well. I truly love these and am a Skull Candy fan for life having them on several deployments and the ear buds surviving things they shouldn't. Only complaint is I'm not 100% on how to turn on and off the ANC. I accidently turn it off while lowering the headset, but simply turn off and on, and the ANC is right back to where I need it. Highly recommend to anyone who escaping the world around them isn't life threatening-otherwise please use responsibly. ... show more

  • Terrible build quality for what could have been a great headset Terrible build quality for what could have been a great headset
Color: Black
I received this headset in July. Within 3-4 months, by November, the front of the top band's seam had started to come apart. Now in December, the bass boost slider doesn't work and the headset is permanently locked in a full bass mode, despite the fact that I've had the bass disabled this entire time. When I spend $228 on a headset, I expect it to last longer than five months. ANC and sound quality have been great, battery life's been okay, but the build quality is terrible. Since it hasn't even been half a year since I bought this, I submitted a warranty claim with Skullcandy. I had to pay to ship the headset to their warranty center, but since they're not producing these original ANC headphones, they gave me a coupon code for their online store to buy the newer model along with a protection plan for it, so hopefully that one will last longer. ... show more

  • A step up from the previous model.
Color: Black
I should start by saying that I've only owned these for roughly a week. I use them every night at work for approximately 12 hours per night and I love them. I owned the previous model and loved those as well but they were made rather cheaply they broke within a month of owning them. These however seem to be better made and honestly sound better. The previous model had great bass but not so great mids and highs. Whereas these have improved vastly on those on that front. I feel as though these have deeper bass as well. As for the ANC I don't really care for it personally, but I will say that I also don't feel like its very necessary. I'm on a forklift for a lot of my shift and don't have any issues with the sound of the machine over riding whatever I may be listening to. Lastly battery life, these don't have the battery life of the previous model, I could usually go two days without having to charge those. However they last roughly 20hrs so no complaints there either. All in all, I'd say theses are worth trying. I personally think that headphones are subjective, to each their own. But if you want headphones that rock your head off your neck theses are for you. Hope this helps :) ... show more
