You can remove grout with a manual grout saw, if you want to feel like you're digging your way out of prison with a sharpened spoon. OR you can get use an oscillating multi-tool with a grout blade, and get the job done without it feeling like a life sentence. The Skil multitool was great for removing the old grout from my shower! The slim design made it easy to work with in the tight space. The multitool saved me so much physical labor and time. I had to resort to the manual grout saw only where the tiles came together at right angles. I have Skil PWRCORE20 batteries in 5Ah, 4Ah, and 2Ah sizes. The 2Ah batteries were perfect for this job. The smaller size and lighter weight of the 2Ah batteries kept my arms from getting tired. CORDLESS is the only way I want to use a multitool. Not having to fight with a power cord makes a huge difference in how easy it is to use the tool. The Skil multitool doesn't transfer as much vibration to my hands as the other oscillating tool I own. To be fair, my other oscillating multitool is Harbor Freight's cheapest model. I recommend using hearing protection while using the multitool. I was able to comfortably use the multitool for long periods of time, while wearing hearing protectors. Using the tool for even short periods of time without hearing protection was very uncomfortable. ... show more

This grinder has good power for the price. In 2020 I bought 10 - 20v Skill tools, LOVE them! out of the 5-6 batteries I got with those tools, 1 in no longer taking a charge 5 years later, and one of the batteries has a bad spring so in falls out of the tool because it will not lock in place.

Works great. I’m a fan of the quality of the Skill cordless tools and their price point. My only gripe is the blade change process and screw. Needing a hex key to change the blade is very inconvenient. All the competitors have a tool-free quick change system. The bolt loosens up after a time, so trimming out doors and windows can be an issue if your blade keeps slipping out. ... show more

Very easy to use. I've never used an oscillating tool before. I purchased this to use in a boat transom repair. Within 15 minutes I had the outer fiberglass skin cut out and removed from the transom. The semi-circular blade took a beating from the fiberglass, which was expected, but it lasted long enough to get the job done. Wish I had bought one of these tools years ago.
