Description

Quickly switch between drilling pilot holes and driving screws with a simple twist using the SKIL 12V/20V Brushless Flip Drill. The cordless flip drill features a two-in-one double collet flip head that allows you to change between drilling and driving bits quickly and easily rather than swapping between bits using the same chuck. Its slim, compact design gives you easy access to corners, edges, and other tight, hard-to-reach spaces. Electronically controlled torque settings plus drill mode easily adapt to the application at hand. Magnetic onboard storage gives you quick access to bits and screws, and an LED worklight with pre-light and afterglow delivers maximum visibility. The included 20V 2.0Ah USB-C battery features two-way rapid charging that allows you to charge the battery or portable devices with its 60W USB-C port. When it’s time to recharge the battery, the multifunctional charger ditches the traditional power tool charging dock for a compact, convenient format that can plug in anywhere and fully charge the 2.0Ah battery in 55 minutes. I’m a trim carpenter and cabinet hanger, so it’s convenient to screw in with one drill rather than having two drills to drill and screw. I have used mine daily for almost a year, no issues. I would recommend the 20v battery, it gives the drill a little more punch than the 12 volt. For heavier jobs, I have the skil power core hammer drill and an also have the 20v impact, and they are great tools when I need them, but I use the flip drill a lot. It’s a niche tool, but if it fits into your wheelhouse for use or for household DYI projects it’s a good fit, way more durable than it looks.     • Great concept. Lacking power.
I really wanted this to replace my 2 milwaukee drill and impact for cabinet installation, but there is just not enough power. I even purchased the bigger battery hoping the this would resolve the issue. It doesn't. Loaded with cool features, but it's just taking up space now.
