    • Great product skilsaw!
This saw is perfectly balanced and is very comfortable to use all day. I would say my only complaint is the safety button when trying to do a 45⁰ miter because it's hard to hold the saw and push the safety single handed while holding material in the other hand, when making straight cuts it's not an issue because its balanced when its sitting vertically. Not really a complaint just a bit challenging in some situations. This saw is very powerful and the battery does last all day when framing a home. I cut lumber for a 1000 sqft subfloor (joists and sheathing) on a single charge so that's pretty awesome. I use a diablo framing blade and this thing rips through anything as fast as I can push it.     • Extremely Huge Disappointment
I received an unusable cordless skilsaw cuz battery charger was defective right out of the box causing my job/work to be delayed a whole day,and unfinished by the deadline. Very upset,pissed off,and completely disappointed, absolute garbage. Basically I couldn’t even do or have a review of how Skilsaw’s cordless worm drive rear handle skillsaw cuz I wasn’t able to charge the battery on a defective battery charger to even use has me very angry, blood boiling like a crazy lunatic,cuz just the expensive price tag on this item should no way no how never ever Never come with any part of the tool being defective. For those of you that think that it’s simple just simply return it and get my money back for it are those that don’t have a clue nor a brain when it comes to agreements,contracts,job locations,job deadlines,and one’s reputation and so once again when I purchase a brand new tool that’s needed for a job you best believe I 100% expect that tool to at the very least work.     • Amazing Saw. But i "saw" one thing wrong with it...
The stupid proprietary battery. It's also quite heavy. By far the heaviest cordless saw in its class. About the same weight as an SD77. Definitely noticeably heavier than my mag77 light. The other issue is the balance. Tail heavy. All the other saws have a Mag77 balance and this thing is different and tail heavy because of the battery location. The goods. Great power and runtime in comparison to other cordless saws. The great? The charge time. Makita 36v is 90min in a tandem charger, Milwaukee is almost 2hrs on their rapid charger (they do have a 1hr supercharger sold separately), haven't tested charge time on the dewalt or Hilti, and this saw supposedly charges in 45min. I haven't used it enough yet to drain the battery that low. ... show more

    • Would be great without the safety for the trigger
I bought this because I wanted a cordless saw with power and as close to the Skilsaw I've used for the last 35 years. Balance is a little different, but not a deal breaker. The visibility is the same as my old saw. The safety button for the trigger is fine when cutting on horses, but completely sucks for everything else. No idea why they added that to the saw. Better than corded, I haven’t rolled out my corded skilsaw since I started using this a year ago. Been framing houses for 25 years and I’m surprised how well it performs. Occasionally you’ll need to charge the battery during lunch or simply buy a second battery to have on hand. Charges quickly though. It’s particularly handy when forming concrete because you’re not dragging a cord over forms and stakes etc. keep an eye on the dust shoot in the handle, it’ll blow in your face in certain cuts (45 deg fascia etc) I put my thumb over it to keep the dust from blowing in my face and sometimes put a strip of tape over it, other than the dust shoot it’s awesome. ... show more
