Description

From cutting shelving to mitering trim, the SKIL 5080 7-1/4 inch Circular saw is a great entry-level saw in the home workshop. The 13 amp motor has the power and performance that you need, and the improved dust blower keeps line of cut free from sawdust for accurate cuts. An adjustable bevel up to 51 degrees, with positive stop at 45 degrees, lets you make a wider variety of cuts. Blade changes are easy with the Spindle Lock and blade wrench, stored on the tool. The 5080 includes an 18 tooth carbide blade.

It’s lightweight but still feels sturdy in your hands, and the 13-amp motor has plenty of power for basic woodcutting and DIY work. The saw starts up smoothly and the adjustments for depth and bevel are pretty intuitive. I wouldn’t use it for heavy-duty contractor jobs, but for cutting plywood, 2x4s, and trim around the house, it’s perfect. Works great. The saw quality is solid, it’s lightweight, and feels durable. It helped me build this slat fence. I did have to pass a couple times for some of the cuts due to splintering but that may have been user error.

This Skilsaw isn't heavy to work with and is easy to use. I was able to make accurate cuts and stay on my line while cutting. It fits well in your hand and is comfortable to use.
