Its compact size makes it easy to transport and store between use. The aluminum table allows high-quality cutting performance while a dust port elbow redirects dust to a container for easy cleanup. The parallel blade alignment allows for ease of blade adjustment along the rip fence and miter slot, for precise accurate cuts. A safety switch delivers immediate shutdown for added safety. The table saw comes with a miter gauge, push stick, modular guard system, fence, anti-kickback pawl, (2) blade change wrenches, and a dust port elbow.

I have a DeWalt table saw that I purchased about 10 years ago that I absolutely love. It has a rack and pinion fence, built in fence ruler, lots of on board storage and just works great. I love using this saw. The only issue with it is that it wasn't cheap so when I needed another saw for our cottage out of state I was reluctant to spring for a second one. I started looking at all the low end saws and found this Skil saw. It was a little more (about $70) than the bare bones table saws but it to had all the features of my DeWalt that makes it such a pleasure to use. The rack and pinion fence alone makes it worth the additional money. No need to pull out your tape measure to measure the distance from the blade to the fence for each cut and to verify that the fence is perfectly parallel to the blade. Simply turn the knob to the desired cut distance using the built in ruler. lock the handle down and you are ready to go. The rack and pinion fence guarantees you'll get a square cut each and every time you change it. In addition to this all the various components of the saw store on board in their respective slots. The saw is equipped with a powerful 15 amp motor so stalling the blade is never a concern and the dust collection/port works great with a vacuum cleaner. Skil took the time to bake in all the positives of the DeWalt saws only they managed to keep the price low. Easy to setup. Works great. It is not a heavy duty table saw by any means. Most of it is plastic with a few aluminum parts. Good for my uses as I needed something for small projects , Cuts nice with the blade it comes with. Can get kit for DADO cuts. Can adjust if blade gets off vertical . For a couple hundred bucks its well worth it but if your going to be using it everyday or build it into a table with fences I would get something a little more solid. For hauling around or doing small jobs this is perfect. for me ... show more

So far, this light weight, powerful saw is ripping wood left & right! I was able to repurpose an existing table to put it on: money saver. Found a great video on YouTube for set up, which is very easy. I’m an amateur.wood worker and this unit has really been user friendly.

I haven't used a table saw since I was in high-school 45 years ago. It is very light weight and I was putting in laminate wood flooring. It worked beautifully! The instruction manual was helpful in refreshing my memory. I was able to do the work safely and with accuracy. Love this

This is the 1st time using a table saw and it made everything so much easier. My projects come out looking like store bought. Set up was pretty easy with good instructions. The saw seems very sturdy. It has a solid metal table and rails. It is easy to adjust the angle of the blade and has a measured scale to follow. Only wish it had one for height adjustment. I had to use a square to measure the height of the blade on dado cuts. I'm a novice with alot to learn and with this saw it gives me a good foundation to start. . ... show more

Do not bother buying a table saw without a rack & pinion fence unless you hate yourself, enjoy frustration, and value wasting time & effort. This one has a rack & pinion fence, and is MUCH cheaper than the Dewalt. It also has pretty good dust management. My only minor complaint is the guards block the view of the blade, and there is no option for just a riving knife out of the box. ... show more
