The SKIL 15 Amp 8-1/4 In. Compact Table Saw delivers power for a range of applications and cuts whether you’re cutting deck boards, framing out a wall in a basement remodel, building a bar, and more. Rip down sheets of plywood, make crosscuts, and cut dado joints confidently with the saw’s rack and pinion fence rails that ensure the fence stays parallel for fast, smooth, accurate cuts. Its compact size makes it easy to transport and store between use. The aluminum table allows high-quality cutting performance while a dust port elbow redirects dust to a container for easy cleanup. The parallel blade alignment allows for ease of blade adjustment along the rip fence and miter slot, for precise accurate cuts. A safety switch delivers immediate shutdown for added safety. The table saw comes with a miter gauge, push stick, modular guard system, fence, anti-kickback pawl, (2) blade change wrenches, and a dust port elbow.

    • Great Saw That Won't Break Your Bank!
Style: 10" Table Saw
Love this table saw! I was afraid the legs would be weak/shakey, but NOT SO. They are robust, well-designed, and fold/deploy easily. This saw comes assembled in the box (except for safety accessories and fence) and ready to go, although they suggest verifying - which I did - various parameters such as 0-degree and 45-degree stops (I adjusted the 45-degree only slightly). All accessories have a place on the folded saw, so you don't have to find a place to hide them in the workshop. The blade that comes with the saw is a 24-tooth, but despite that fact, it performed very smooth cuts in some drawer pieces I was sawing. I didn't take the time to hook up my vacuum to the saw, but used the 45-degree pipe extension that was included to direct dust/chips to a 5-gallon bucket, which caught about 70%. The vacuum would likely have caught 95% due to the enclosed design of the saw exhaust. I'm not big on safety guards (sorry) because they're usually restrictive and cumbersome. Not so with the Smart Guard System on this saw. Very easy to use; easy to set up; functions perfectly; does not impinge on feed. You can set up or take down this saw in 2 minutes or less. Oh, and the fence control is smooth and accurate! SOOOO easy to change and verify measurement for subsequent cuts. It's heavier than the saw I replaced, but the carry handle is convenient, and allows short distance carry even with all the accessories stowed. Haven't used the miter yet, but if it's slightly loose (as many are), that can be remedied if necessary with aluminum tape. Some folks complained of the noise of this saw, but I found it was no more noisy than my old model, and in fact probably quieter. (I've always used ear plugs AND muffs.) In short, you could spend more on a table saw, but I seriously doubt you would be any happier than with this one. ... show more

I absolutely love this table saw for its affordable price and excellent performance. The alignments were spot on right out of the box, making it a breeze to use without any adjustments needed. It's lightweight, making it easy to maneuver and store. While the controls function well, I did notice that the blade elevation crank feels a bit rough, likely due to the absence of a separate elevation lock. The stock blade delivers incredibly smooth cuts, but I chose to upgrade to a combination blade for even better results. Just a heads up, ensure your blade kerf is at least 0.1” to accommodate the riving knife. I can't say enough good things about this saw. Set up was a breeze. Saw was almost perfectly square out of the box. It isn't as loud as most other saws of this type either. Add a sled or whatever jig you want and it's extremely versatile. Small enough to use in just about any size shop. I do wish the blade was a little larger but that's on me for being cheap lol. I'd for sure buy this again and do recommend it. ... show more

    • Absolutely amazing for the price but messy
Style: 10" Table Saw
I needed something for cutting acrylic sheets for display cases I'm making for Lego sets. Since purchasing cases is just a ridiculous expense, I figured it's cheaper to just make them. This arrived, but part was damaged in shipping, despite no damage to the box. But it must have shifted somehow, so one of the brackets on the auxiliary fence was bent, and it couldn't fold over into the out of the way position. I already had registered this for the warranty, so when I called, they asked for the part on the IPB in the manual, said OK, and three days later it is already out for delivery. The entire auxiliary fence piece, not just the one bent bracket. So their support is outstanding. This is a delight to work with. Setup is a breeze with the legs unfolding. I replaced the blade with one specifically designed for acrylic, and the performance has been outstanding. The options for adjustments are far more than I'll ever need. And the stability of the platform, despite being a portable one, is great. No movement once I start cutting, the table stays steady on these foldable legs. Even with the shop vac connected to the discharge, though, it's an absolute MESS of dust. I had to throw away the pair of pants I was wearing the first time I tried this out since it was just so covered with tiny plexiglass dust, there was no way it was ever going to come clean. I have some cardboard I've since placed around the legs to block it from getting everywhere, since most of the mess was coming from underneath, and that will help. I may end up looking at some of the youtube videos to create my own dust collection unit for the blade as well. Meanwhile I've purchased some wet gear to throw over my clothes like I'm going to go fishing, so any dust can be brushed off easily from the slick surface. But aside from that, the results are great. No problems moving things through the blade. I like the safety shutoff option so it won't come back on if power is interrupted and you don't have the material still being held. Not sure if the anti kickback tool would really help on acrylic either, but so far everything has moved through just smoothly. Got it on sale, so there is no way to possibly beat the value for the price. ... show more
