Great saw, finally replaced by 25+ year old one that just gave up. After much research, this is the one I went with. It is well built and well designed, sits solid on my work bench with no movement. It is just the right size for what I do and with the foot pedal it is even easier for detail work. It is much quieter than my old one, but zips though the crafts very precisely. Context is often important and so I'll set up this review with a bit of context. I hadn't used a scroll saw in something like 60 years and needed one to make some intricate cuts for a few birdhouses I wanted to make. Nothing horribly intricate, but still, a scroll saw was called for. That's what had me knowingly buying this entry level scroll saw. That said, I'm more-or-less pleased with it but there are a few cons to going cheap. first though, the positives: It's inexpensive; the integrated dust removal and LED worklight are a plus, being able to connect the shopvac for nearly sawdust free cutting is great; it has plenty of power to cut anything you'd want to cut, the cutting table tilts; blade changes are easy and hassle free; the adjustable blade speed is nice and the blade tensioner is easy to use. Basically it has all the features most people would want. Unfortunately, there are a few negatives. First off, to get a square 90 degree cut you have to adjust either the blade or the table. Since there is no adjustment available to adjust the tilt of the blade, you have to adjust the cutting table so it's exactly at 90 degree to the blade. When you do, the table sits a few degrees off level. Not a big issue, but the engineering or build of the saw needs tweaking. The other issue is that the table vibrates... just the cutting table, and while it's not horrible, it's still something that makes precise cuts difficult. Again, an engineering/design or build issue. Overall for the price and for my use it's fine, but definitely not 5-Star worthy. ... show more

Worked great, pretty powerful, the hold down foot, didn't stay down, would works it's way loose, no matter how tight I made the screw. Could be the saw vibration, that was a big turn off for me. Very powerful cuts through with no power loss. Good price
