Just received these gloves yesterday as the blizzard came in. Bought them for outdoor chores in snow like shoveling and snow-blowing, as well as playing with my sons in the snow. Went out today to clear all the snow from a corner lot and 4 car driveway in Wisconsin. Temperature was -10 the whole time, with 25mph winds meaning real feel was -45. Before I could get outside, I had to adjust my snow blower, put on my boots, etc. All of this was in my sunroom, which isn't connected to my home's heat. I have an electric radiator in there, left on all during the storm to keep the room warm. It wasn't keeping up, so this room was cold, and my hands got cold while trying to get everything done. I put on the gloves, and started outside, and made it maybe ten minutes before I couldn't feel my fingers at all and had to retreat inside. My mistake - my hands just weren't warm enough to generate any heat for the gloves to hold. Warmed up my hands and changed tactics - I got them nice and warm, then put hand warmers in the pockets of the gloves. Geared up and put them on again, then was able to finish the work outside. All told I think I spent about 1.5 hours outside working this morning. After that initial setback, my hands were comfortably warm the whole time. In -45 real feel temperatures holding onto cold metal tools. The pockets are clutch, and once you give them some warmth to hold on to, they really do it! No wind or wetness leaked through, but I'll update if needed after my kids and I go play in the snow later this weekend. Let's talk dexterity - always the trade off with bulky gloves. Wearing these gloves I was able to: Put on and zip up my coat. Tighten the wrist straps. Shovel snow. Operate a snow-blower that has fairly large bars and controls. Use a socket wrench to adjust my snow-blower's skid shoes. Punch the tiny buttons on my house door's key pad lock with decent accuracy (maybe messed up once in 4 times). I couldn't quite manage to tie my boot laces wearing these, but it was actually close. I was frankly impressed. Let's talk fit: I have relatively small length hands compared to their width, so I had to choose between having gloves that were wide enough vs long enough. I went with wide enough, and the length was enough, but just barely. That's more because of the shape and size of my hands than anything else, I think. I might have been able to go one size up, but I don't think I'll need to, they worked great at this size. I ordered the Large, but the XL might have worked better for me. Even a touch small, they were comfortable and worked well. For a $20 pair of gloves, these have been excellent so far! ... show more

  • Solid gloves for the price.
Color: Black Size: Medium
Bought these on my first trip snowboarding and have used them on 3 different occasions on. Work great each time. Keep the cold and wet out and don't sweat in them. Also, having a pocket for a ski pass is a must, which these do. 5 out of 5. Would buy again for this price.

  • These gloves are the bee's knees.
Color: Black Size: Small
On a cold morning, these are what I grab right before I step outside. In the midst of 34 degree Fahrenheit weather these gloves are champion. Having dual wrist straps is a huge bonus. The zipper/pocket on the wrist is not to be scoffed at. Im out the door at three in the morning and it's freezing out. I grab these gloves and continue to have fully functional fingers. I slide the gloves on and cinch my wrist straps. That easy. Driving with these on isn't hard but will fatigue your thumbs/grip. But while the heater is catching up, you won't be complaining due to the inner fleece layer. The dual wrist straps are incredible. For a affordable pair of gloves the straps are sturdy. They don't slowly come undone and loose. The tightness does not hinder wrist rotation. The secondary strap is perfect for long sleeves to stay put allowing for no unexpected drafts crawling up your arms. The wrist pocket was peculiar at first. It's suggested to put hand warmers in them. I don't do that. Instead I use it for small items I normally would put in my pant pockets. Since the gloves are mildly bulky they come with a built in solution to your unforseen complication. I deal with water all day. My hands are always dry so long as I have these gloves on. The outer shell is hydrophobic. The palm/grip portion is great. It's soft but keeps grip when wet. Sure you'll lose a percentage of grip but it sure beats wet hands and a loss of grip. Forget about touchscreen capability. For survival functionality, I'd gladly swap out using my phone for toasty fingers. Touching cold metal with bare hands is not the bee's knees. If you must use a touch screen then take your hands out of the glove and realize just how warm these gloves are. You'll be surprised! If I have to choose what part of this glove will give out first I'd say the grip portion. With the heavy use I put these through I can see some cracking, a popped stitch and some wear all while maintaining it's waterproof label. I recommend these gloves to friends who need warm and durable gloves. They aren't overly huge. The finger tips leave only a little dexterity to be missed, but for how affordable these are I will personally be ordering more when the time comes. ... show more
