Working on a Kitchen Remodel one of the guys said "you shouldn't wear tennis shoes, a good pair of work boots will keep rusty nails from piercing through the soles, steel toes will keep your toes safe, and they provide good support and that’s important when you’re at a job site 8-10 hours". So, I purchased the Skechers Men's Burgin-Tarlac Industrial Boot. Now I can say, all the things he talked about are true with these boots. The price is good. They are heavy and take a couple of minutes to lace up. The first day wearing them is a bit uncomfortable because they need to be broken in. I've been wearing them every day for a month now and, for me, these have been an excellent choice.

Overall pretty good especially for the price I use them for plumbing, I do however suggest swapping out the soles these shoes weigh a ton, the steel toe is a bit uncomfortable at first but once you start breaking them in they aren't bad.

Very impressed – I knew the brand was good, but these are held together really well and I go through even the best shoes really fast. Extremely comfortable memory foam insoul and light weight for a steel toe boot.

I love Sketchers in general. When I first received these shoes, they were incredibly durable and sturdy and the material inside felt comfy. I ordered the wide-size 11 because I have wide feet; it still felt too narrow for me, particularly a "bite" or "pinched" feeling just in front of the outer-side of my heel. Otherwise, if they came in an extra-wide size, I would have not returned them! Can't speak for their applicability in the field (I'm in construction) because I wasn't able to test them outside but they'll probably fit other people perfectly!
