Gentlemen, if you are looking for the perfect work boot then look no further. These boots provides excellent support for your feet. They are a little heavier than normal but that is because of the steel toe construction and extra thick rubber sole surrounding the boot. Working on a Kitchen Remodel one of the guys said "you shouldn't wear tennis shoes, a good pair of work boots will keep rusty nails from piercing through the soles, steel toes will keep your toes safe, and they provide good support and that’s important when you’re at a job site 8-10 hours". So, I purchased the Skechers Men's Burgin-Tarlac Industrial Boot. Now I can say, all the things he talked about are true with these boots. The price is good. They are heavy and take a couple of minutes to lace up. The first day wearing them is a bit uncomfortable because they need to be broken in. One of the best purchases I have made this year. These boots are comfortable and pretty durable for the price. I will update this review later but all is good so far.Only issue I have is that the black leather scuffs easily if you regularly hit the boots on anything. nothing a little polish can't fix. Heaviest boot I've seen. Like wearing ankle weights. Seems well made with a substantial non-slip, puncture-resistant sole. Very wide and big toe box (regular width ordered). The pleather uppers are dimpled to resemble exotic animal skin. Good looking boot and we'll see how long it lasts. Dr. Scholls went way up. Im cheap. I dont want to spend a lot of money on work boots. These were reasonably priced, they looked good and were non slip. They were Skechers. Never tried the brand, but I had heard good things. I got a couple of pairs and I love them. If they leave the price alone, I will buy more. If they follow Dr. Scholls, I wont. I don't care how good they are, Im not paying $90 for a pair of work boots. But these are great! A little heavy, but they are steel toe. Dr. Scholls were ultra lightweight. These are not as comfortable, but for the difference in money, they ROCK!! These so called intelligent types that run big companies feel it is a good idea to raise prices on things that are selling good. Not smart enough to understand that the price point has a lot to do with that fact. They raise prices, the product stops selling. Morons are scratching their heads wondering why they aren't selling as many. Its amazing to me how stupid these smart people are. I wonder sometimes how they can walk and breathe at the same time. Its the same with all of these morons. Raise the price, the product is selling. Before you know it, the product has been discontinued due to lack of sales. Try going back to the old price! Not the most comfortable, but not bad for being in them 14 hours at a time on concrete. Don't know how long they will last, but for the price who cares? A little on the heavy side and took a bit to break in. They are not breathable and found myself using foot odor control after first day. All in all great value. ... show more
