This backpack has a great feature which would be loved by any skateboarder who needs to transport his/her board. The skateboard slides right in to a pocket built just for that. It slides in sideways and is secured and balanced. It creates a solution for someone who takes their board places. Outside of that special pocket, the backpack is your standard backpack with many pockets and storage spaces. Very functional and durable. I am very pleased with this order.

So, full disclosure, I don’t actually have a skateboard. I just like large sturdy backpacks that are for this sort of purpose. I’d previously been pleased with a DSLEAF backpack for roller skates, so I thought this product might make sense to try also, but I was disappointed. I tried it with a thick and long plank of wood (length maybe on par with a longboard) to try to evaluate the skateboard-toting experience as best I could for those of you who are interested in using this for the advertised purposes. This is an imperfect test, so do with this evaluation what you will. It works, but is necessarily awkward with the backpack straps (at least at that length). And it didn’t feel super secure. Not sure a vertical storage arrangement would be much if any better - couldn’t really sit down that way. But the horizontal storage here could be an issue in crowded areas or bus seats. This skateboard pack won’t carry much else than your skateboard and protective gear. I’m a generous packer and like to be able to carry more. The mesh hammock for the helmet/protective gear feels a bit flimsy, and not super secure. Very tight fit when pack is loaded up. I would have preferred something like the top compartment in the DSLEAF roller skate pack. Also could easily lose knee/shoulder pads from the hammock. I was pleased to find a zippered pocket and two open pockets within the main compartment. The laptop compartment is also a nice plus! Not super padded, and I wonder if a board on the other side could put undue pressure on the laptop over time, but I guess it seems reasonable enough. The reflective strip is nice and prominent. So it might work for some of you but I’m not really a fan, personally.

At the asked price of $50, this backpack is a solid option for any rider in need. It's made well and has no noticeable flaws, damage, or missing bits. It is of the design with a fold-over top flap, but beefy velcro and clips make sure your stuff is secure. It has a padded laptop pocket within the main area, and separate hot/cold pockets on the sides. The outside of the front pocket has a MOLLE-esque arrangement of elastic and straps that are useful for pens, flashlights, or any other EDC gear you want to secure there. Regarding things that really separate this from other packs: There is a large Velcro strap on the inward padded side of the pack for carrying your board. Slightly unnecessary when carrying a board this way, but it does keep it in a more comfortable spot and put a bit of padding between you and the board. The bottom-most pocket contains your helmet holder mesh; it is stitched in within there and secures with clips up top. The grey stripe containing the logo is highly reflective. I appreciate this a ton as someone who does a fair bit of night riding. All in all, nothing to knock here. Would recommend.

This backpack is great, and you don't have to be a skateboarder to utilize all of it's features. The section that is meant to hold the board can also hold a laptop or books. The Velcro on this pack is super strong, so you won't have to worry about anything popping open. The material is like thick canvas, like the usual heavy duty backpack fabric. The compartments are generously sized, and this pack can be used for school or as a duffle/weekend getaway bag. One of the side pockets has extra insulation for a beverage. All of the zippers function smoothly and the plastic clasps are strong and easy to hook/unhook. The straps could have better padding, but they are adjustable, wide, and comfortable to wear. There's also several clips and straps to hold other, smaller items. This is an all around excellent pack that will provide years of use, and I highly recommend it.

My son got a skateboard for Christmas and absolutely loves this! The material of the backpack is strong and feels sturdy, the straps are comfortable on his shoulders, his board fits perfectly and there's room for his helmet, water bottle, snacks and whatever else he wants to throw in. There's no weird smell I've experienced in the past with other backpacks I ordered online which was a great relief. He's very happy with this and I recommend!
