I finally had to address the sound situation in my 2016 F-150 after the stock door units completely failed. I wasn't looking to spend a fortune on a high-end audiophile setup, but I did want something that could handle some volume and offer a real improvement over the original equipment. This pair turned out to be the ideal solution. For a budget-friendly option, they handle power incredibly well. Rated at 270 watts max, they can take a decent amount of volume without distorting, which is exactly what I meant when I said they "hit hard". The bass is punchy and full, much better than the flat sound I was used to. was on the lookout for a all around 6x9 speaker(bass and clarity) these lack bass almost no bass, like litterally 30 year old stock speaker had more bass. but it was really good on clarity on high volume with little to no distortion. yes I know your supposed to run them to an amp, or have them sound deaden to get the best result but I was looking for a good set of speaker plug in with just a headunit. Overall get this speaker if your looking for clarity, dont get them if you want bass. Dont expect them to have more bass than your stock speakers ... show more
