First of all, I want to say right off the bat that SJCAM's customer service is absolutely amazing. I was genuinely surprised by how courteous and responsible they are and how willing they were to help. Now, on to the camera. The C300 Camera is very unique take on these handheld pocket-esque cameras., I own my fair share of action cameras (DJI Minis and Pocket 2, GoPro Session and MAX360, and Insta360) and SJCAM's idea with the C300 is genuinely refreshing especially with when compared with the DJI Pocket 2 which is the one action camera I had that closely resembled the pocket style cameras I was looking for. The price is great for this quality of action camera when comparing it to other action cameras. The camera itself comes with a lot of accessories and even an micro sd card, it comes with mounts, a protective case and a waterproof case. All the mounts and cases felt constructed well and seem like great quality. They also handled well in terms of durability and did great to protect the camera. The size of the camera was great, it wasn't stubby like the DJI Pocket 2 and the touch screen LCD was much more responsive. Everything fit much better in terms of aesthetics with the C300 rather than with the DJI Pocket 2. It was more user friendly and beginner friendly in my opinion. This camera also made vlogging much easier because of the design, it was more generous in terms of handleability and durability than some other action cameras. If you're going to be using the second battery which is the stick variant, you can also switch between lcds which for me was very useful for vlogging and having to switch from vlogging and back. The interface itself is a great starter interface for the price and for the camera and like I said, it was very user friendly, nothing over complicated. It could use some tweaks here and there (Smoother interface, a bit more quality and more refined interface) but regardless it still does the job right and doesn't affect the performance in any way. The quality of the camera genuinely good for the price. To be honest, when considering the price I assumed I was going to get another 'cheap' quality action camera but when I used it especially for vlogging I was surprised how 1080P, 2K, 4K looked given the price. The 6-Axis stabilizer handled biking, running and hiking but it has to be enabled, Click on the left hand side of the wand and then scroll down to the Gyro Sensor and press on. For wide dynamic range Click on the left hand side of the wand and then scroll down to the WDR and press on The resolution and angle of the camera gave for a much useful image quality and performance. The zoom was amazing for such a small camera too which was one of the things that stood out to me. Could the quality have been better? Well of course it could have but given the price and the size of the camera and how versatile it was, I was pleasantly surprised and can't necessarily complain about it. The SJCAM application was one of the best applications out there, it's has a lot of potential and makes for editing, switching video quality and picture, going through recorded videos and making anything in between much more easily handled. The only problem with the application when connecting it to the camera was that it would disconnect sometimes randomly. Other than that, the application remains of the best I've used. Now all this is not to say that the camera doesn't have it's downsides and I would be a hypocrite not to speak out on it's shortcomings. For one, sometimes not all the time there would be some blur when running or biking at night because of the LED lights because this same issue also plagued my GoPro MAX but not to the same extent. What I found worked to counter the issue at night was having an even exposure of the LED lights with objects in the background that help balance out LED light exposure. You can Enable and Disable Audio as well. The quality could be better, that's not to say that it's horrible or it's 'cheap' or poor quality, rather it needs to stand out more in terms of quality and picture to capture the mainstream market. As it stands now, it good, not great but genuinely good for size and price. The built in microphone was not the best, it drowns out with too much noise and recording quality was not great if there's too much sound exposure especially with vlogging. This issue can be fixed with an external microphone. The 7 hours of the battery life does not apply to 4K, with 4K you get 3 hours and 30 minutes. 7 Hours of battery life is for 2k or 1080p. Regardless, for the price and the size of the camera, the battery life is great and I noticed that the batteries don't run as hot as other action cameras. The bottom line is that the camera for me is one of the best, I would strongly recommend anyone thinking about purchasing it to give it a shot and play around with it. I think both the company and the camera have a lot of potential and they have a sweet spot in terms of price to beat out other companies. Personally, the quality was good but it could always be better and it should strive to be in order to edge out the competition. Pictured is the size, coke can for scale. The camera is very small and compact which is wonderful. It has gestures that allow you to quickly and easily make menu selections and turn various items on off with the flick of your finger. Doesn’t get any easier. The only complaint I have is with setting up the Wi-Fi 5g broadcast of the camera. Seems like it’s never broadcasting the signal and I have to constantly scan the QR code which is really annoying. Wish it could just be fixed and the next time I turned it on the said and password could be remembered - which why I gave it 4 stars. For the price it’s definitely a bargain. All the other high end brand names are just way to expensive to capture 4k video. And the sharpness and audio are satisfactory it’s not incredible but it will do what I need. ... show more

This is undoubtedly the best choice for action camera. I'm an avid long-distance cyclist, so I've always been looking for a sports camera with a long battery life. Unfortunately, almost every sports camera I've come across only lasts about an hour at most, despite their claims of having two batteries. The C300 camera also comes with two batteries, but it can record for an astounding 6-7 hours. What's more delightful is that they designed the batteries to double as a handheld grip, which can be attached to a selfie device. I really love this design. It completely meets my recording duration needs during my rides, and it saves me the trouble of having to buy many batteries and accessories. The 4K 30fps resolution and 20MP image quality deliver sharp and vibrant visuals, ensuring your footage and photos look great. The wide-angle lens and 8x zoom further enhance shooting capabilities, allowing you to capture various perspectives. The six-axis image stabilization provides excellent video quality, giving me fantastic cycling videos. I believe it would be equally impressive in other outdoor sports. Although its screen is only 1.3 inches, the screen's sensitivity offers a great operating experience. The interface takes some time to understand, and if it's my first time using a sports camera, it might mean I'd need to spend more time understanding the interface. Great camera for, especially for the price. I use the camera on my motorcycle helmet , and on a hat clip for competitive shooting matches. The video quality is great and with the app and WiFi I can instantly save videos to my phone and clear up space on the memory card when needed.

I was going to use it to record pickleball tournament matches. It shows great promise. I reported the problem to the customer service immediately, but the responses, so far, are not helpful. The problem is - the camera spontaneously turns itself on and off until the battery is depleted.

This is a powerful little camera for the price. It does just about everything including live streaming, and you can also use as a dashcam. You can use the small camera or attach it to the larger handle which includes a 2nd LCD screen. It comes with a ton of accessories including a waterproof case, which is awesome. Camera functionality is intuitive and the included instructions are fairly comprehensive. This camera does a lot and compared to my GoPro Hero11, its comparable and a good value. The only complaint I have is that the sound quality is lacking. If you are close to the camera recording a vlog etc, the sound is loud and clear, if you hold the camera away from you, it was hard to hear, even after turning up in post processing. I also found the smoothness of the video while walking wasn't as smooth as a GoPro, even though the desciption states it has a 6 axis stabilizer. Regarding price, at the time I received this item it was priced at $300. At the time of this review it is $160 with a $20 coupon. For $140 it's a great action camera with a ton of options and accessories. ... show more
