SITKA GEAR MEN'S ASCENT BREATHABLE HUNTING PANT Lightweight and breathable, this softshell pant will keep you cool and dry for those hot days charging in the mountains. Advanced 4-way stretch synthetic blend moves with the hunter and stands up to heavy abrasion in the scrub and scree. Mesh-backed pockets deliver extra ventilation and an internal mesh knee pad pocket provides added protection when field dressing an animal. These pants are designed with articulated knees, which prevent the gathering of material behind the knee when squatting or sitting for long periods of time. The gusseted crotch provides a full range of movement whether you are glassing, stalking, hiking or climbing. For better ventilation, the Ascent pant features mesh backed pockets. Knee pad pockets offer additional protection if desired. By adding extra layers underneath, these pants can be your go-to gear for the complete hunting season. These pants are perfect for any hot weather fishing/hunting trip. Solid construction, perfect fabric thickness, waistband is solid. There is stretch in all parts on the pants. I’m 6’4” long legs and usually a 36. Got a 38 and they’re perfect for extra breathing room.

There is something missing with these pants but I cant quite put my finger on it. Side zips? Extra weight that gives piece of mind? I'm not sure. Objectively these pants have just about everything you could hope for. Venting mesh pockets, material that is tough yet light with plenty of stretch, odor control, and material that dries fast. I'm not sure if they're fully synthetic as one the fabrics listed is simply "Cordura" which is a brand name and doesnt really tell you composition--but is good stuff. The pattern is great and they have survived quite a few snags and scrapes and are still in like new condition. Great for scrambling, and they come with kneepad pockets but not knee pads. they aren't marketed for winter, but with a insulation layer, and something for rain (no dwr coating) they would probably do ok. Id personally go with something thicker. (I have Kuiu attack pants for colder or alpine conditions.) ... show more

Wore these yesterday for the first time. Opening day of bow season in Missouri. 94° and no breeze. This is as close as you can get to not wearing pants. Don’t get me wrong, it was miserable hot out, but these made it as comfortable as it could be. High quality and fits great. I’m 6’ and 210 lbs. I wear 32-34x30 Levi’s. I have shorter legs and the 36R fit perfect and we’re not too long. I’m pretty long waisted and wear my pants just below my hips. Big enough I can tuck my shirt in and I used the suspenders but don’t have to. They aren’t tight around the waist when sitting. Couldn’t be happier. ... show more

They run small I wear a 34 in jeans and I got a 36 and still almost too tight. Very good quality though and very comfortable. Was hoping to layer under Meath these for fall but I don’t think I could fit anything underneath.

These pants rock for hot weather.. Very light, very breathable. I used them for a Velvet whitetail hunt we had here in TN in August. Temps were 96. I wore these pants with a core lightweight hoodie and a pair of Solomon shoes. it was hot, but i was as comfortable as i could have asked to be... Definitely the coolest/most breathable hunting outfit I've ever worn. I highly highly recommend if you're looking for a cool and breathable outfit. ... show more

You can't go wrong with SITKA, thin and perfect for early season hunting when its still warm. Very durable. Only thing is they do run true to size for fit, but if you don't like things fitted for sure order a size bigger. Im 5'9" and ordered a tall and Im glad I did!
