We have bought multiple times and variations. Reallyike how easy to clean and how seals can be removed and cleaned we have just about every combination of sizes. We typically use only for refrigerator. I don't think they hold up as well if you microwave with them often.

These were cost friendly alternatives to my rubbermaid brilliance. They work great. The microwave use and dishwasher cycles seem to eventually catch up to any plastic, but these have held up well, maybe ever better then the more expensive Rubbermaid brilliance. I like them

We are using these for dry goods. When I tested it out it holds a bit more than 3 cups of water. Three cups of water is 24 ounces not the advertised 33 ounces. A pint is 2 cups and a quart is 4 cups in that type of measurement. When I checked for something that was 2 liters like a big bottle of Dr Pepper, even half of this as a liter would be way more than this product can hold. Limit is 3 cups or 24 ounces of water. We are storing store bought cookies and loose tea bags in these. So I purchased 2 more of the 33 ounce size and one of the 64 ounce size. The 64 ounce size looks like it will hold a full pack of Oreo's or similar cookie (6 cups of water or double the 33 ounce size). Plastic store bought cookies come in is not even recyclable, not sure why food is sold in it. No toxins is a plus. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a great assortment of sealable food containers. I like that the lids do not have to be pushed down and sealed all around, where it is hard to peel the lids off later. The flip side of this is discussed below. This system uses a substantial round seal that fits up inside the lid. All you do is set the lid on top, and then raise the side buckles and clip/seal it down. When it is time to open them, you simply undo the two clips and the lid comes off easily without peeling. The smallest units have screw on lids. I removed one of the seals to examine it, and it seems to be of the consistency of neoprene rubber. Now, for the most disappointing feature, causing them to lose one star. The seals do NOT provide a watertight seal. How bad is the seal? I put warm water about half full on the largest container, and pressed the lid on tight and set the clips, and then turned it over. It leaks HEAVILY and fast. So, do not use these for soups or any other liquid item unless you are just going from fridge to pan. Do not put these on your car seat with liquids. If it turns over, you will have a mess. The plastic thickness is pretty substantial. It says not to microwave with the lid on, perhaps to protect the seal or possible warpage of the lid. ... show more

I discovered these by accident because a friend at work was using them to bring lunch. They're great, and I've thrown away most of my Tupperware and Rubbermaid containers and replaced them with these. Also now less in the habit of using mason jars or putting leftovers in a bowl covered with plastic wrap. The critical innovation here is that there is a seal made of a softer plastic. That allows the rest of the lid to be made of harder plastic, and allows for the addition of latches without deforming it. This leads to several practical benefits: 1) Because of the latches, the containers will not spill if inverted or handled roughly. Though they are not leakproof, at least the lids will stay on, unlike most competing square containers. 2) The tops are relatively flat and so containers of different sizes can be conveniently stacked, and can generally be moved around the kitchen and carried in a stack without six hands or two extra trips. The sizes are well chosen to make this practical. The amount of fridge space this recovers is considerable. Some things to keep in mind. 1) Like any plastic container they will stain when used to hold certain foods, particularly tomato-based chilis and soups. 2) They will sometimes leak if filled with liquid and inverted. ... show more

What to get the relative who wants nothing at Christmas? Sistema! She started a new job and was looking to make food for several days, but only had recycled smaller containers. She is so happy with the new containers. The shapes fill the frig and don't leave a lot of dead space, seal really well and don't leak. Dishwasher safe with no residue. Now she is looking to get more. FWIW, I picked Sistema b/c it's what I use at home. The wide variety of sizes makes them ideal for leftovers and prep as well. ... show more
