I use it back and forth between a boom box and my car. It's much better in the house because of the wifi capabilites. I love the Pandora stations and all of the internet extra channels. I wish it came with a remote because it's very hard to change the channels while driving. It is touch screen only and you have to swipe through the channels, including favorites and take your eyes off the road. I miss the physical buttons and remote controller that the Onyx had. There is voice command but it only works with wifi so it doesn't help while driving. My biggest gripe though is in the 7 months I've owned it, at least 3 times my favorite channels, artist alerts and Pandora stations all disappeared so i've had to start over building it all up again. I'm not sure if this is a common problem or if I got a defective unit but it really is a pain. I wish you could save everything to a computer and reset it when it gets wiped out. I know I complained a lot in the review but overall I'm happy with this product and would probably buy it again. The pros outweigh the cons. ... show more

    • Every SXM radio is WORSE than the one it replaces.
1) Takes 3 minutes to boot. Even once it starts playing audio, it isn't ready to be used. 2) Has failed to start it's FM transmitter 5 times, in 3 months of ownership. 3) Asks for a Wi-Fi connection on every boot. It's in my car!!! I'm not turning on a phone hot-spot for a SATELLITE radio!!! 4) Takes up to 3 seconds to change a channel, every time. 5) Menu layout is just stupid. It splits off in two directions for user preferences and system settings. 6) Only allows 15 (says 18, but limits to 15) favorite channels. Why not 50, 75,100? My subscription has 170 channels, should I only listen to 15? 7) Only allows 50 flags. Again, 170 channels, I might find a few things I like... 8) It has fully reset itself twice, in 3 months. 9) Sometimes, it just reboots on a whim. 10) Even at it's darkest setting, the screen it too bright for night driving. 11) Won't show what is on each channel when using the arrow keys to tune. On the plus side, there is a remote available which I do highly recommend since controlling it on the dash board while driving is somewhat dangerous. Installed this radio in a 2022 Ford Ranger that didn't have SiriusXM preinstalled in the factory radio. Attempted to use Bluetooth connection in Ranger for SiriusXM. Sirius Tour would pair with Ranger, but lose it's connection after it was shut down overnight. Had to "re-pair" to the Ranger every time. This was not the fault of Sirius... the Ford Ranger had faulty, outdated Bluetooth that looked like something out of the early 2000's. Was able to connect Sirius Tour to a FM radio frequency that wasn't in use locally... and it works great that way. Sound quality is excellent... much better than terrestrial radio. Touch screen is easy to navigate. Favorite stations can be stored. Antenna, power cable were easy to manage on installation. Overall this is an excellent unit for vehicles that don't have Sirius preinstalled in the factory radio. ... show more

I’ve had satellite radio since 2003, always portable units, so I’ve been through quite a few versions of new radios on both the Sirius and XM sides (and SiriusXM). I was excited about the Tour radio integrating their All Access service to the max. The radio is nice and compact and looks sharp, however there are quite a few quirks that is making me suspend service on it and returning it. As others mentioned, the unit takes a good minute or so to boot up and get audio going. Seems the unit is based on Android, so it’s similar to booting a phone or tablet. Other radios are usually up and outputting audio in the matter of 10 seconds or less. Channel changes: Don’t like the way you scroll through channels. Also, scrolling through channels actually changes whatever channel you were listening to the instant the scroll stops to look at a channel. It’s not very friendly for driving. Favorites: Gone are preset buttons, they are now a favorite screen like the app. Again, didn’t find it friendly for driving. WiFi: The radio complains when the radio boots and it doesn’t see WiFi. You can dismiss the screen. In my case, I used mobile hotspot on my phone, which isn’t always active. I then enabled the hotspot, but the radio isn’t smart enough to connect on its own. You have to go into the WiFi settings and re-select your network for it to connect. Found that to be irritating. So they still need to work on this technology. The radio is nice and compact and the display is nice. The ability to scroll through to an “online only” channel and just have it play like a satellite channel was nice. Channel logos and song title information with album art looked good. But, like I said, just wasn’t doing anything for me, so I’ll happily continue with my Onyx+ radio for now and use the phone app if I want other channels. ... show more

It takes forever to boot but it is ok for home use. I installed the antenna through the window sill as I wanted also the non internet channels. Works fine and my stereo amp in the bedroom accepts the signal via an RCA cable. So i can listen to Sirius XM even when the Internet is out - which happens often here. Setup was easy and with a home kit it is easy to power it from a small power converter plug. ... show more
