I bought a new 12" memory foam mattress. There's nothing "foam" about it. It's like a concrete slab. My first attempt to make it more comfortable, was an "ultra loft" 2" mattress pad. It did nothing My second attempt was a 5" (yes, FIVE) Down and Featherbed. It was only slightly better than nothing (although it would probably be great for revamping and old mattress). This was my third attempt, and finally, success!! I bought the 4", and works great! The only potential downside, is that you're pushing the boundaries of your fitted sheet, so read the sheet's description, before you buy them. Bough this for our pull out couch as we had people visiting us for couple of weeks. Wanted to provide the extra comfort on top of the mattress that came with the couch. We got the 4 inch one. The opinion of our guests were mixed. One loved it and this wife didn’t that much. I guess better that nothing. Honestly was skeptical because of how most foam pads are, but this was the best investment! I sleep in longer and don’t toss and turn due to the stiffness of my mattress. It puffed up to size in 5 minutes. I accidentally bought a queen size for my full mattress but realized it actually worked out better because no gaps between the edge of mattress and fill out better. Definitely worth the $8 more. Overall I highly recommend if you like a soft conforms to your body type of pad. ... show more

Just got this. I wanted something fast and they have the same day delivery( which is awesome) but there weren't many same day to chose from. I prefer a 1 or 1 and 1/2 inch but when you put it in the search all sizes come up. I've been using the toppers for about 8 years when i traveled at first and then on my home bd because it may have been a little too hard or soft? i'm bad at figuring if something is too soft as today beds are hard and soft. Anyways.. The packaging was nice. I was surprised it fit in that tiny box and it was really hard to get out tho I've only used it one night I fear it's too tall. The taller ones ( imo) don't add the same support? I still feel I sunk in too much and still have pain and had a hard time sleeping tho it was definitely cooler than regular memory foam. I may order one I don't sink into as much but the majority of people who aren't super picky will probably love this. Edit to add before I had gone to sleep last night I was adjusting it better on the bed and it tore in a small area. I've never had one tear except one previous one I bought and it was 6 months old and then after that it tears everywhere! One day?!? I'm now wondering if it was a brand new one ( even tho it was packed up well) it never had the slightest smell like all new ones have even if I didn't notice when I turned I could smell it but after a few weeks you don't notice but a 1 day ( going on 2 sorry) should have a slight smell ( all new things do) and it shouldn't rip for ages... ... show more

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this slab of foam has made all the difference in my pain and sleep quality! I have a "medium firm" mattress that I purchased 3 years ago, and it's been causing a lot of pain and stiffness, especially in my legs and hips. It's more firm than medium, and has never softened up despite the fact that I'm not a small, lightweight person. Sometimes I wake up barely able to walk, and my legs would be numb. That hasn't been happening since I've used this topper! I wake up feeling pain free and well rested. I'm really happy with it and I may buy a backup for when it starts to go flat. I will update my review when I see how long it takes for that to happen. ... show more

I was a little worried they wouldn’t fluff up out of the bag but there was no issue. I bought two and used them for the mattresses in our RV. The kids said it was a lot more comfortable and I was able to cut them to fit the curved edges and it maintained it’s integrity.
