We live in a remote area that experiences mostly freezing temperatures and have to take a canyon that runs along a river to get to major cities. We attached this to a hair tie and secured it to the gearshift in our vehicles so we always know exactly where it is. Hopefully we’ll never need it though!

Love how compact this is compared to a traditional hammer style, though maybe it'd be harder to find in the center console storage bin in case of a rollover (if it gets buried under other stuff). Wish I could test out the window breaker, but the spring action concept seems more effective than having to bang on it with the hammer style unit. ... show more

This is a very "not strong" plastic item with an exacto-blade and keychain ring attached. It was imaged as a burnt orange/maroon/dark red. We received an ugly bright red, nothing like the image the seller used. It is plastic and might break if you drop it, or accidently step over it. As far as a "hammer" to break open your window... not likely. Using a ball point pen or a key, to break your car window open most likely would work better. The seller's images made the product look much stronger than it actually is. I would not recommend this product. ... show more
