Pros: * cheap, compact, comprehensive * long jumper cables of fairly good quality * toolbox has all the basics to Macgyver your way out of most situations: pliers, screwdrivers, crescent wrench, allen wrenches, measuring tape, box cutter, electric tape * really like the foldable mini shovel * items that seemed random but with further reflection are useful in an emergency situation: paper clips, q-tips, zip ties, and surgical masks. guessing the masks are to protect you from dust when working on your vehicle. Cons: * has extremely strong plastic odor that fills a room -- recommend leaving it outside for a few days to air out * quality of tools is not the best, but good enough for at least a single use before breaking. * The tire repair kit plug strip quality doesn't look too great, I bought a separate kit for 6 bucks * Tow rope looks decent quality but if you anticipate towing, I'd buy a separate one * Gloves are like wool mittens with rubber grip dots glued to it. Better than nothing if you need to protect your hands * Wish it had a tire gauge * Flashlight is not super bright but better than nothing, probably should buy a separate flashlight for your vehicle * overall the quality isn't that great but it will do in a pinch

I rarely review purchases. But this is an exception. I was expecting something rather cheap & not good quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The scope of items in the kit is excellent. It provides you something to help in almost any situation. The shovel & tir-down straps are sturdy (better than I was expecting). The first aid kit, battery-less \ wind-up flashlight was sturdy and bright. The jumper cables surprised me more than anything. They are on par with any good jumper cables at an automotive parts store. Could you survive in the desert ot the Tundra for weeks with this kit? - Of course not. But to get you out of about any minor jam or temporary breakdown, this kit will serve your needs well for that
