I think this is going to be a very handy tool - I've only used it once to skid out a large firewood log, but it worked as advertised. We'll see how it holds up over time. Only complaint was that the nuts that hold the control unit cover in place were not tightened down. 2 of them worked loose and dropped off - found one but had to replace the other. They are now secured with Loctite, but shouldn't that have been done at the factory?

I only used it 1 time & probably not going to need it again for a little while. It has pretty of pull power. I used it to pull an approx 4000 lbs (full of tools) enclosed trailer without axle (due to an accident) onto another flatbed trailer. The winch paid for itself just this one job, and I didn't use all of its rated capacity. For less than $300, you can't go wrong with this winch.

I've been buying small 2500 or 3500lb winches for my car trailer and I got tired of them wearing out so I picked up this one and boy is it strong! It feels like it will pull anything onto my trailer with ease and it's something I should have gotten a long time ago. Hopefully it will last a long time as I only intend on using it on my car trailer so it shouldn't see muddy conditions like if it were on a Jeep. The synthetic line is also WAY nicer to work with than the steel cable lines so I really appreciate that and the remote control for using it on a car trailer is a game changer... no more inching, go check, inching, go check, inching, go check... now I can sit in the car and load it up myself with ease! So far so good, I'd recommend it!

I haven't been able to install this on my truck yet since I still need to weld together an adapter plate. But I did use it to pull down a dead tree and it worked with relative ease. Overall, the dimensions are similar to my Badlands winch and seems to work just as well. It looks like a rugged winch but will likely need some protection from the elements. After some more usage, I'll update this review accordingly if I run into any quality issues down the road.

Mounting hardware not a good fit. Bolts too long even with flat and lock washers. Hardware material is galvanized- not ideal for outdoor use whether for trailer or 4x4 off-road. Had to purchase separate 316 stainless hardware in different size to mount correctly. Faulty electrical also… checked the manual for “color codes” which seems simple. However, upon checking, the blue and yellow wires were mix matched in the control box. Had to rewire before hooking up to battery.
