Used this to fix my cane on my canoe seats. The cane was as expected and the cane for the grove was the correct size. It did not come with any instructions but I found them in other places. I soaked the cane for about 5 minutes before installing. I used a thin 1/4 inch piece of wood to hammer the groove cane in. I clamped the opposite side as I worked the caning into the grove. It came out tight and seemed to hold tight. As a precaution, I glued the corners after the installation. Time will tell how well it holds up.

I got a great deal on a beautiful rocking chair at a yard sale, but it needed a little work. The caning needed to be replaced, but I had never tried it before. Thankfully, this was a lot easier than it looks. It's very easy to work with and it's a fairly quick job compared to weaving it myself. It's not just decorative either. It's very sturdy and it's strong enough to hold my big man husband and our husky.

this was the perfect fit for my chair backing where the caining was all coming apart. i would definately advise soaking this in water for atleast 20 minutes to an hour before you work with it, otherwise its far too dried out and brittle that it will crack.

I got this to fix my moms rattan chair that was broken. It is really very durable and strong. It does well with furniture glue and is strong enough to hold her up at 110 lbs. It can be used for other projects as well. Great value for the money.

Spline in item pic looks carefully rolled up; arrived folded and cracked (unusable) plus the size is smaller then ad stated and round no edge. The caning I've previously done used spline with squared edges more wedge shaped. Was hoping to get the mesh and spline together since only need enough for one rocking chair. Webbing is okay but really don't know since unable to use.
