I am a retired professional musician. I have been playing the trumpet for 65 years, and have a degree in music. My main trumpet is a b flat mt Vernon Bach. I was looking for an inexpensive c trumpet for playing in a community orchestra. After much research I decided on the singer’s day, the horn really exceeded my expectations. It has a full rich sound , resonates nicely and is a joy to play. The only problem was that out of the box the valves were sticking, needed a lot of oil to get them working properly, also the valves are not numbered so remove them 1 at a time. All in all I would recommend this trumpet as an inexpensive entry instrument for orchestral use. ... show more
