    • Ability to cut fabric wider than 12”
When I first received the cutter, it wouldn’t cut. I started a return with Amazon and then thought I really need to give the manufacturer a chance to resolve the issue. I really wasn’t taking any risk since I could still return it to Amazon if Singer didn’t provide a timely support. I contacted Singer and they were great. They did try to support troubling shooting via email, but I still couldn’t get the machine to cut. Singer immediately said they would provide me a new machine and sent me a UPS shipping label. As soon as they received notice that I shipped the machine to them, they started the process of sending me a new machine. I received the machine two weeks after I sent mine. This is over the Christmas holidays, so two weeks was expected. Their customer support kept me updated during the entire process via email. The replaced machine works great and will be a great timesaver when cutting out fabric for bags. I just love the machine and glad I made the effort to contact Singer!!! The media could not be loaded. So I ordered hope for the best, but got the worst. It come a day earlier than expected so that's about all that was good about my experience. So starting off, the Amazon box that this came in had all its edges dinged and bent, granted this was a big box so that was given, but as I pull out the manufacturing box that the machine comes in, one side of the box was completely torn revealing the content side. I gave it the benefit that maybe the protection around the machine did its job. As soon as I pull the machine out of its box, the bottom of the machine has rubber pads and under neath thr rubber pads are screws. All the screws were loose and one even fell off. I tightened all the screws still hoping this would be fine. But as soon as I go to plug in the machine there is no power. I unplug it from behind the machine and as I try plugging back it throws out sparks. So I give up and put it all back in it's box and get it ready to return. I was very disappointed, I really wanted this machine to be the one. ... show more

    • lessons have a lot to be desired
lessons the lessons are very poorly written. At my local shop we do a class a month this month we were to make the heart petal boxes. When you go to follow the instructions half if not more are missing. If it wasn't for our store owner knowing how to make the box we would never be able to make the project on our own. I do love my momento but the lessons have a lot to be desired ... show more

    • Great Machine Terrible Mat
The cutter is great. I love it already. I have three Cricut Makers and just everything about learning them, in the beginning, was unnecessarily difficult. The Singer Momento is much easier to learn and to use. And, the software is free, which is a bonus. The downside is the mat that was included with the cutter is terrible. It is cheap and has lost its stickiness already. It is also warped which messes with the loading and accuracy of the cut. The Singer mats are on backorder and the customer service SUCKS so I purchased some off brand mats off of Amazon. Overall, I think the machine is good for the price. ... show more

This machine really is powerful! We have been able to cut so many things for our crafting business (and pleasure). The instructions are detailed and easy to follow and understand. It was fairly simple to set up and connect to our PC. The display is clear and bright. Love it!!!

This cutter has so much promise! I love the idea of cutting fat quarters of fabric. Unfortunately, it only worked as expected for one day. On the second day it began starting all cuts about 3/4” below the top of the cutting area on the mat. Obviously, that’s a big problem because all cuts are shifted down and you cannot use the entire cutting area. Plus I am worried that at some point it will cut in the correct place, in which case I will have placed the fabric in the wrong spot. I did all that I could to resolve the problem including trying different devices to send the file, restarting my devices and the Momento, and restoring the Momento to factory settings. I then contacted Singer about this issue twice with no response. The machine will be returned to Amazon. So disappointing. ... show more
