  • This works well!
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 1 Pack
I bought this for mending my very thin Duvet cover, that my cats murder mittens have ripped holes into. I have mended it and washed it multiple times and the patches that I have cut to size to iron over the rips have not bugged! I'm impressed with this product. I cut out appropriate sizes of the vinyl and iron over the fabric with a dry,hot iron and its invisible. It would be awesome if it came in clear too, but white on the inside, you cant tell unless you're looking for it. I'd buy this again ... show more

  • Sturdy, sticks quickly
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 1 Pack
Nice big piece you can cut to your needs. Irons on easiky and sticks very fast. I haven't tried washing it multiple times, so I don't know how long it would stay on. I use it to mend on the reverse side, then I always sew a colorful patch on the top side so I've never had a problem of it coming off.

  • A bit stiff
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 3 Pack
I purchased this to repair some cotton shirts. When I followed direction (which was to preheat the item and then apply the patch) it worked well. As others have noted the patch is a bit stiff so I was not surprised by this. However, when I washed it the first time the patch began to come loose around the edges. It was easy to reattach the patch with a hot iron but I had hoped that washing only single time would not have caused loosening. Nonetheless I am happy with the purchase since it is easier than sewing the area. ... show more

  • Great price. Very good mending patch material.
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 3 Pack
If you are looking for a heavy duty patch material which will be under relatively heavy stress, this is not what you want. This is a relatively light patch material which is perfect for those small holes in clothing. Just cut out a patch, then iron it on. Just ironing it on should give you a good bond, but you can also sew it along the edge just to make sure. Unlike some patching material, you can sew through this with no problems. You can also mend longer tears and cuts but match the material composition to the patch and you may want to sew it. My most recent patching job was to a pair of brand new uniform pants I was given. The material was quite a bit heavier than that of my usual patching efforts, but it all still worked well. Of course the sewing made sure that the patch material would hold. My problem was that the former owner had cut the legs to fit his somewhat shorter height so there was barely enough material for a 3/8 inch hem. I cut two long strip of this material 1.5 inches wide, then folded them in half, hot-iron bonded them to each leg and, finally, sewed them to each leg all of which lengthened the legs and will keep them from fraying. Then I sewed the hem as it would usually be done. The lengthening does not show because it is inside the pant legs and the pant legs are now long enough. In the past I have usually purchased this material in much smaller squares so it was nice to have this much larger piece. I have used the material to patch all sorts of things. Getting three pieces for just slightly more than the price of one was a great deal. If you are mending something like a shirt, cut the patch out with a pinking shears which will help the patch blend into the material and the outline will be less likely to show through the material. Experiment a bit to see what heat is best with your iron. ... show more

  • First application, time will tell.
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 1 Pack
Update: It’s been 5 months and I’ve washed the blouse at least once a week (a few weeks up to three times), the patch is still perfect! It is the same white color; no yellowing! The corners and edges are still adhered to the garment; no rolling! The cuts that I made on the patch have not frayed either! I’m very impressed with the value I’ve gotten out of these patches! I highly recommend this product! I have put another patch on a garment with a scratchy tag that was sewed into the seam so you can’t cut it out. Covering the tag with this patch has been wonderful! I did cutoff as much of the tag as I could so that I could iron on and have it adhere to the garment as much as possible. This has worked as well and it’s been washed for about 3 months and still no issues! It’s nice to know products can still be made with quality and not everything is junk! ———original——- So I used this for the first time and ironed on a patch where a blouse got ripped at the collar from a hanger that had a nail or staple sticking out of it at a hotel (this why I like the plastic hangers). So I cut out a patch 3 times the size of the tear and ironed it on from the inside and then a small patch on the outside to just cover the tear. It looks good and it is completely covered by the collar. I like how thin these are and once ironed on they are a bit translucent so you can see the blouses pattern through it and it seems to move with the cloth instead of being rigid like most patches. With its ability to be on the inside and the thinness of the patch, I really cannot feel it on my neck. So I’m extremely happy with this solution! The big test is how will it hold up in the washer and dryer! Most patches will start curling and losing their adhesive after a couple of washes so we shall see! But for now I’m very happy! ... show more

Not quite invisible. I tried them on a raincoat and were too noticeable; so took them off.

  • Update 17 months later
Size: White - 7" x 16" - 1 Pack
I used this fabric patch to repair a sizeable hole my dog clawed into the dog bed. I cut it down to the size I needed using regular scissors. Following the instructions, it went on pretty quickly and is adhering well. It's fairly inexpensive; would be nice if it came in multiple colors instead of white only. Since, I've just applied it, I'll return to update the review after it's been on for several weeks. Well, it took longer than two weeks for me to get back to this review. (17 months). The patch is now really no longer “patching”, but it did last for a good long while; almost a year. Then it started to peel and looks like it does now (see pic). It was a good investment to avoid having to buy a new bed. I guess I could patch it again, but I think I’ll just buy a new bed at this point. ... show more
