Ever since I saw this type of vinyl material online a few years ago, I knew I wanted to make my own designs with it. After purchasing my Cricut, I knew I finally had to make my dream a reality! This fabric cuts incredibly well and can handle extremely tiny cuts (smaller than a millimeter, if you can believe that!) It’s also very easy to weed once you’ve finished cutting, but for small details you need to be careful because you can puncture/rip your design pretty easily if you’re not paying attention. When cutting, I used the fine point blade and selected the Cricut holographic vinyl setting. (I’m sure there are better settings to use, but this is what worked for me!) I also set my blade to cut with less pressure when I had very small details, but cutting with normal pressure also works great when your pieces aren’t very intricate! Occasionally, I did loose some small parts when weeding and cutting, but you can re-attach them to the plastic before ironing! When ironing, I followed the directions given in the package and it worked great! If I had parts not adhering, I simply went back with my mini iron and gave it another 20 seconds of heat and waited for it to cool. The material looks great in low light (almost like a shiny black on matte black effect on my sweatshirt) and has a neat effect on camera. It really doesn’t look as vibrant in person as it does in my picture, however, I was only using my phone’s camera flash and may look different in brighter lighting (like headlights). I also can’t see the reflection when I’m wearing it, so it may look different to others around me. I can’t wait to experiment with this material in the future and I’m definitely going to be buying again (and possibly buying other colors!) ... show more

The bus comes when it is still dark, so it is important to have reflective marks on clothes or shoes so you would be visible. The HTV is an easy way to go. I didn't bother with a cutting machine, I simply cut some stripes with scissors and attached them for better visibility.

I use HTV on all of my book rebind cover designs so a lot of my covers will have some annoyingly small details that eventually make me want to pull my hair out and ugly cry. Reference photos are my most recent rebind which had some decent detail to test this product out with. Not only is the holographic vinyl beautiful but it cut easily and weeded even better. The only critique I have is when weeding some of the finer details, the vinyl I was weeding would slip under the line work of the remaining vinyl. That was a little frustrating but nothing as bad as some of the other vinyls I have used. To anyone who wants to test their patience and sanity by working with super detailed and intricate designs, i would definitely recommend this HTV just remember to go slow on those finer parts. Ultimately, I love this HTV because it's decently priced compared to others and how much product you get, it's easy to use and looks amazing! 10/10 definitely recommend! ... show more

I was so excited to get this - however, it doesn't weed well at all. I ended up wasting the whole roll trying to get something cut that should have been pretty easy to do. The 2nd time, I actually ran it through my Cricut 4X to ensure that it was cut all the way. It's difficult to grab the vinyl from the carrier sheet and get it started - and it leaves behind pieces of the vinyl when you finally do. ... show more
