You can feel the glue get soft as you press. There is a video review on here and it's not how this tool is used. The gem is placed on item you're blinging and then the tool is pressed over/onto gem. You don't attach the gem to the tip of heated applicator to affix. I'm glad I bought it. It was fun. It takes a bit, but eventually you get in a groove. My tee isn't finished, but you get the point. The pics do not do it justice. Poor lighting = poor pictures. I absolutely love my new Hotfix applicator, and all the rhinestones! I make bag/totes and needed something for these denim crossbody bags that didn't have a little pocket. I surfed the net and found Hotfix. I'm beyond thrilled with my purchase! I followed the directions and the stones adhered perfectly. This little flower took me no time at all to create. I got so excited, I didn't even finish it yet! I had to write my review before I forgot to. If you are new to crafting or are experienced, I highly recommend this product. Easy to use, simple directions, quality made product, and last but not least...it was so much fun to use! Ps. I am not getting paid for this review, I just had a great experience and wanted to share!
