Features

  • THEY NEED SUNLIGHT OR LIGHT POWER- Please put the glow in the dark embroidery machine thread in the sunshine for about 20 minutes or use your light power to "charge "it(just shine it). Then take them to the all dark place. Then you will see something surprise.
  • GLOWING LASTS FOR OVER 3 HOURS- After the light power charging, the glow in the dark machine embroidery thread will keep glow in the dark for over 3 hours. It will glow hardly again after light "charging".
  • ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIAL- We Simthread use all Eco-friendly material to produce. You can embroider it in your bags,clothes,pillows...Do not worry about it. It could never hurt your skin nor your health.
  • 6 MOST POPULAR COLORS PACK- There are different colors in this set. Pink, blue, grey, yellow, white and green. Each spool has 550 yards. The thickness of the glow in the dark thread is about 150D. A little bit thicker than normal polyester thread(120D). There are some thread nets inside the pack as gifts.
  • WE ARE ALWAYS HERE TO HELP- According to our test,we found that it will be better to use #14 needle to work when you use our glow in the dark embroidery machine thread. Normally we use #9 or #11 needles to work when we are using polyester thread. But we'd better change a larger size needle when use this glow thread. Or the thread may get a break during its work. Anyway,we will always do you a favor whenever you get a problem and contact us.

  • Wonderful!
Color: 6Colors 1000Yards
The thread itself is a little finicky for the fact it is thicker and easy to unravel. Once you understand the nuances of changing needles and setting the correct tension, this thread is a wonderful novelty that adds a great touch to embroidery! I have only ever embroidered on wash-away interfacing in order to make patches and free standing lace (see in the photos). I've noticed that the best needle to use on my machine is a very sharp 90/14 universal in this case, but I am still working out some tension issues and am by no means a professional... That being said, as a hobbyist this is still relatively easy to use! ... show more

  • Beautiful. Use a size 14 needle, not a top stitch either.
Color: 6Colors 550Yards
I was using a top stitch size 14 at first and that sharp tip kept shredding the thread. Changed to a regular size 14 and it worked beautifully. I just messed around doing some free motion but I’m totally in love. And I used one of the threads that seemed to be on the dinner side. I can’t imagine what the really brute ones are goin to look like. I’d so buy again. It’s really fun to use. I have tons of ideas already. ... show more

  • Really good thread and needs a lot of juice.
Tested the Glow in the dark thread that I received a few days ago. I also wanted to see if I could use a small design/drawing via free-motion. 75/11 needle Material 100% Cotton. Dress = 513 from the 63 count. Green Glow in the Dark thread. I ran both through the needle. Wings = 542 from the 63 count & Blue Glow in the Dark thread also doubled through the needle. After the three tornadoes we had here in Sioux Falls, SD we had major overcast today. Item only got 2 hours of sunlight on it. The Glow in the Dark needs a lot of juice but works. After two-three minutes the glow was fading. The design itself was too small but provided food for thought. Next time will have to use the different needle size to prevent Glow thread breakage. ... show more

  • Don’t hesitate...BUY IT. YOU WON’T BE SORRY!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I had an order for 13 glow in the dark birthday shirts and was quite afraid they wouldn’t work properly. LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!! These were an absolute hit and looked like part of the glow in the dark decorations. Soooo excited. The people at the event hall were really impressed!!

  • Not what I expected 🙁
I really wanted to love this thread and I had so many plans to stitch out cool Halloween designs but there were SO MANY THREAD BREAKS. So many. I started out using a 75/11 embroidery needle and the thread broke every few hundred stitches. When I changed to a larger needle (90/14), I had fewer thread breaks but I still had a lot. It took forever to stitch out a design because I had to keep re-threading. ... show more

  • Been using it for fun and personal things.
Made a glow in the dark Celtic cat for a friend's baby quilt; for her mom who passed just as she got married to her husband, and two years before her grandson was born- a way to symbolically add her back into their lives. I also have made some super fun things to a friends at work (Such as unicorns). ... show more

  • Great glow, frustrating shredding
Color: 6Colors 1000Yards
It glows beautifully. However I've been struggling with horrible thread shredding (almost 30) on a minimally dense 6x10 design. While the ship in the design appears dense, the breakage occurs even in the thinly stitched areas. I've changed needle gauges, tried thread conditioner, and changed the bobbin, but the thread continues to shred and break. I'll try another design and update my review of it performs better. ... show more

  • It glows!!!
Color: 6Colors 1000Yards
I dont have any experience with sewing machines, so I can't say how these will work for them but they worked great for my cross stitch! I'm still learning so didn't realize this would be thinner thread, but easily made it work for my stitching. The thread's fairly sturdy and only bunched up when I tried to use way too long of a string. Looks super cool all put together and it glows nicely, especially if you have a black light to charge it up. I'd recommend these! ... show more
