I adore this thing for travel and the mirror quality is fantastic. It's sleek and is perfectly compact for travel and the brightness is also perfection. The mirror is stable but my old one loosened up a bit over time but can't complain much because it was used over and over. I also have dropped it on the floor before and it did not break so these are very well made. I would give a 5 star but the cost is too high. I found these at a department store two months ago. I was mesmerized! I had a $30 gift card so I took the plunge and found a more affordable one on Amazon. When I unpacked it I found it didn't come with the plug in for the usb. I thought that was poor customer service on their end. If we're going to pay a premium price for a mirror I felt cheated this significant $2 part that is needed for operation was left out. Within a few seconds after plugging it in it illuminated beautifully. I love the sensor option and its portability, the illumination is perfect daylight. The mirror reflects well and I found no distortion. The stand is sturdy so I don't have to worry about it falling over. This is the first day I've had it so I will update my review in the future to explain battery life and provide details on how well it is holding up. I also purchased an 8" model and will provide comparisons if there is anything significant. Update: The 8" mirror is best for applying makeup. However I actually got a stomach ache from it turning on and off every time I sat back to grab another product. So I use the cleaning cloth to cover the sensor! If your tight on cash I would wait to splurge on this until the costs have reduced by at least 50%. It won't make you any more beautiful than you already are and unless you suffer from severe acne that requires constant attention you can get by with a cheaper version just fine until prices drop. If make up is your hobby this mirror is a must have for intricate eye make up and tweezing. ... show more

Had to replace it twice. Finally refunded and got the mirror from the manufacturer. It’s as if Amazon is getting the damaged or defective products and selling them to the public. I have returned/replaced a number of products for being broken, defective, or even USED and ultimately went to the manufacturer to purchase. What’s shame. If you're at all like me, you probably did a double take at the price because come on, right? Trust me, it's worth it. The sensor makes allllll the difference in the world. I had to replace the first one of these that I had gotten as a gift well over a decade ago because it would no longer hold a charge. Annoying but it's a first world problem, right? I figured I'd "upgrade" with a larger mirror and move on. Yup--that lasted about 2 weeks before my absolute annoyance had me back on Amazon at midnight to purchase this one. Save yourself the $25 or $30 bucks on an inferior product and just invest in this seriously awesome one from the beginning. You will love it!! ... show more
