It is quite resistant to bumps, although it's also important to note that very strong hits will dent the bottle or chip the paint. I've had this same model of simple modern for 2 years now, and my husband finally got convinced that he needed a good water bottle, he didn't like the sippy aspect of my bottle, but this one comes with the chug lid too and what a difference it has made, this water bottle keeps his water way colder for way longer, the chug lid doesn't leak at all and i like that we can use regular sized ice cubes instead of the skinny ones for skinny bottles, this is a great size for keeping us hydrated while we play tennis, I think the price is more than fair for how good these bottles are, i love them ... show more

Best water bottle ever!! I have kidney problems and usually have to force myself to drink around 2 liters a day, but ever since I got this bottle I have been addicted. So easy to use, so easy to clean too. It's pretty big so I can't fit it in the cupholder of my car but I love it regardless. The only issue that I had is that after a week the water started to taste a little funky even after we changed the water filter, but it went away after I cleaned it so it was easily resolved. Mine had a small dent at the top when I received it. I dropped it once and it was easily scratched and got a few more dot dents. It does keep my water cold all day, and depending on how much ice I put in, it stays cold up to a couple days. It does leak if it isn’t upright, and since the bottle is too big to fit in cup holders it tips over during car rides and spills. Sometimes it squirts out when you open it. I bought this after my husband had lost my first water bottle. Overall the bottle is super cute and the straw isn't too long (I had to cut the straw on my previous Simple Modern bottle due to it sitting right on the bottom and not being able to drink from it). While the top seems leak proof, there is still leakage from the straw I think. I'm not sure which part it's from (probably the area it sits in when you close it) but it's not a big deal as it isn't a constant issue.
