My daughter is 11 and while she thinks she would love a Stanley I convinced her to buy this cup instead. First of all the size is much more appropriate for a rather small 11 year old. The Stanley is about half her size. It’s sturdy enough to handle her running into things with and she loves all the vibrant fun colors to pick from. Also, this has an attached silicone straw on the top lid part, which is great, since she walks around with it hanging out of her mouth most of the time, it is only a matter of time before she trips doing that, and this way she won’t injure the roof of her mouth with a hard plastic straw. It’s fairly spill proof, we test that just about daily and while it might dribble a little bit it is not much and very manageable. Overall this is a fantastic cup, I have the larger size and honestly wish mine had the same lid as hers. This keeps drinks cool and ice solid for HOURS. I love this cup. I love how it doesn’t spill when it falls, and I love the screw top. The color is so pretty and it definitely keeps my drinks cold with ice still in them for more than 3 hours. It does have a sort of taste after a while when you leave the drinks in them for a good bit, but other than that, it’s a great cup and I love how it comes with an extra straw. It holds a good amount of drink in it so the capacity is good.
