I bought this cup for my 3 year old and she uses it regularly. It is easily cleaned either by hand or in the dishwasher however I ensure I take the peices apart to make sure they all get clean. My 3 year old can easily open and close the spout on her own making my life easier. I only use room temperature or cold liquids as that is what she drinks so I dont know how it would hold up with hot drinks. It has been dropped and is very durable.
