  • So many connection options - they all worked really well, I'm happy!
The range of ways this headset can connect to your tv and devices was the main thing that attracted me to this model. Whether you want to connect to a TV, a receiver, a computer, a tablet or a phone, there is probably a way to do it. You can use Bluetooth, or you can go the wired route through the transmitter and included cables. The first method I tested was the transmitter connected to my computer using the 3.5 mm cable. As soon as I turned on both the headphones and the transmitter, they connected instantly without the need to pair them. That was a good start! I used YouTube on my laptop as my first test source and spent a bit of time cycling through the EQ settings by double-clicking the multifunction button. That toggles between (tv) voice/speech mode, standard, and bass heavy. For me, standard was easily the best. It struck the right balance - the bass was still present, the treble was still clear, and overall it felt natural. I didn’t feel like I needed the headphones to be noise cancelling, there was enough detail delivered to my ears. After that I switched things around and tested Bluetooth mode. I turned off the transmitter, switched the headphones into Bluetooth mode, and they paired with my Windows laptop straight away. Again, I used YouTube for music, and the sound quality was just as good as it had been through the transmitter connection. That was one of the more pleasing surprises. Sometimes one connection method clearly feels like the “better” one, but here both felt solid. And, after I closed down my laptop and came back later to use it again, the reconnection of the Bluetooth was seamless without me needing to press any pairing button. It’s also a good feature that if you look at the Bluetooth device inside your laptop connected devices list, it shows the percentage of the battery charged. I noticed the battery usage performed well during my tests. I wore the headphones for at least an hour on first use, which is long enough to notice whether comfort is going to become a problem. Thankfully that was not an issue. They are adjustable through the headband, the over-ear design is comfortable, and there is enough room to get a proper fit. They did not feel awkward or overly tight. One thing I did appreciate was the genuinely useful range of cable options included. Whether you want RCA to 3.5 mm, optical, or 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, the choices are there. That may not sound exciting, but in reality it removes a lot of frustration. You do not open the box and then immediately realize you need to order a cable! I often have the need, when travelling, to have 2 headphones connecting to one sound/vision source. Thank goodness these headphones have a 3.5mm connection point, allowing you to plug in the 3.5mm male connector from a second pair of regular earphones to this headset, and now we have 2 headphones listening to the same source! Charging is flexible. You can dock the headphones on the transmitter, or you can plug a cable directly into the headphones and charge them with a USB brick, much like charging a phone. I like having both options, with the latter being good for travel. I then moved on to TV and movies. Here, the good news is that the headphones worked as advertised. There was no lag between what I was seeing on screen and what I was hearing when using the transmitter connection. That matters a lot (even a small delay becomes irritating very quickly once you notice it). Finally, I tested a dual-output setup, where the soundbar was still outputting TV audio while the headphones were also connected. That worked as expected. A future enhancement could include a soft or semi-soft case for the headphones. That would be a nice extra. For the price, these headphones did exactly what I wanted them to do. They were comfortable, the sound was good for the price, the volume went plenty loud, and they delivered on the no-lag claim using the transmitter. More importantly, they genuinely handled a wide range of connection options without making any of it feel complicated. That, in the end, is probably the strongest thing I can say about them: they worked as advertised, across multiple setups, without fuss. And that is often rarer than it should be. ... show more

  • Versatile TV headphones with great battery life, but average comfort.
I got these wireless TV headphones for myself, and they’ve been a solid, flexible option overall. The biggest strength is versatility—you can connect them directly via Bluetooth or use the included transmitter with optical or RCA cables (both included), which makes them compatible with pretty much any setup. I mainly used Bluetooth, but it’s nice having multiple options. Sound quality is decent—clear enough for TV and dialogue, but not anything exceptional. They get the job done, especially for casual watching. Battery life is excellent, and the wireless charging dock is convenient. They’re lightweight and have decent padding, but after a few hours, I did start to notice some ear discomfort, so they’re not ideal for extended wear. Overall, a practical and user-friendly pair of TV headphones with strong connectivity and battery life, just slightly limited by long-term comfort. ... show more

  • Sounds great and lots of connectivity options!
I should begin by pointing out that these headphones are marketed as "TV Headphones", but that isn't all they're good for. Because not only do you have the "traditional" methods for connecting to your TV (RCA, 1/8" Phono, and Optical), but you also have full Bluetooth capability, which means you can also use them with your phone, tablet, or laptop. So, yes, they're excellent for the TV, but with Bluetooth on board, their usability expands greatly to cover pretty much any other device you might want to use them with. I'm a big fan of that, because if I'm going to spend $100 on a pair of headphones, I want to be able to use them anywhere, and these headphones I can use anywhere. The sound quality is really good, and the 3 EQ modes really do change the sound up quite a bit. I like dialogue mode for watching something where people are mostly talking (like watching the news), and either "standard" or "bass" when I want to watch a movie (which one kind of depends on the movie). The 20-hour battery life is excellent, though I really didn't push that to the full 20 hours because I simply don't watch TV for 20 hours a day. So, I can't say for certain if it'll go a full 20 hours on full volume (probably not), but as what I would call a "reasonable" volume level, I had no problem with battery life and simply popped them on the charger / base station every night before going to bed. Then they're ready every morning when I get up. The overall build quality seems really good, and they are in fact nice and comfortable to wear, with the large cushiony earmuffs. I didn't feel like my head was being squeezed too tightly, and they had plenty of adjustment on them to fit my noggin. Overall, I think these are a killer pair of headphones for pretty much whatever you want to use them with, whether it's the TV, your phone, tablet, or laptop. Great sound and value equals 5 stars to me, and I definitely recommend these. ... show more

  • Good for more than TV
These are more versatile than the name suggests. In addition to standard TV connections (RCA, 3.5mm, optical), they also support Bluetooth, so they work just as well with a phone, tablet, or laptop. Sound quality is very good, and the three EQ modes make a noticeable difference—dialogue mode is great for speech, while standard or bass works better for movies. Battery life is solid (rated up to 20 hours), and I had no issues with typical daily use, just charging them overnight. They’re well built, comfortable, and adjustable, with soft ear cushions that don’t clamp too tightly. Overall, these are a great value and a versatile set of headphones I’d definitely recommend. ... show more
