At first I picked up the wrong size for my k40. So make sure to measure, it’s a little smaller than I would want but it’s the best fit I could find. The quality is super nice, no sharp edges and I like that it has measurements on the sides.

This is generally used for a open table top laser engraver and includes a metal sheet with some rubber feet to sit underneath the bed. I got it to use inside my K40 instead. I wanted to see if using a thinner honeycomb bed than the one I have would make clearing trapped smoke between the cells faster, but it's difficult to tell if it makes a difference or not because of too many variables such as the wood itself and the exhaust outlet sitting a slightly higher. Overall, I think it's working better. Unlike my existing bed, the honeycomb mesh inside has about 1mm of verticle play and sits 3mm lower than the frame (my existing one sits 2mm lower). This is nothing to worry about but something to keep in mind if cutting something and your piece hangs over the edge since that can shift it out of the laser focal point. Having some play with the bed coupled with a thinner frame also means it's not as sturdy as my existing bed as I could flex the ends up and down. Just something to keep in mind depening on how you mount this inside your laser housing. I have mine sitting on a static 3 point mount and it's stable enough.

Does an excellent job for my smaller laser cutter, and keeps the backsides from getting burnt/smoke damaged. Rules are nice to eyeball lining things up and motoring the head around. Cleaning is a pita, like all honeycomb units but no way around that. Worth it.

The Simhevn Honeycomb Working Table is a nice large honeycomb laser bed. The powder coating on this laser bed is nice and smooth, and I feel like it won't get scratched off. This powder coating also on the honeycomb and it is and extra layer of protection for the items getting engraved from getting scratched by the metal honeycomb. There is one thing I wish it had. It would be nice to have edge protection caps that would hold the metal plate underneath in place.

I got this because no matter the setting on my engraver I still had yellowing at the edges of the pattern. I added this honeycomb mat and the air flow underneath has been a great improvement

Honeycomb laser beds are great for dissipating heat and keeping your laser from scorching the material you're cutting. This laser bed is good example of a well-made accessory well-suited to laser hobbyists and even light professional work. The frame is constructed of light but very rigid aluminum with riveted corners and nice clean edges throughout. The included aluminum sheet can be placed under the honeycomb bed to protect the work table below. Adhesive rubber pads are also included to keep the work surface from sliding around or scratching your work table. One of the interesting features of this cutting bed is that the honeycomb surface is constructed of aluminum rather than iron or steel. Iron and steel honeycombs beds allow you to secure your material with magnets, but of course magnets don't stick to aluminum. It does, however, keep the weight down significantly, and aluminum does a much better job of dissipating heat than iron or steel. I would definitely recommend this item for cutting thicker materials that don't need to be secured to the honeycomb bed, but may require better heat dissipation during slower, hotter laser cuts, like thin sheets of wood or acrylic. At any rate, I didn't deduct any stars as certain tools are better at certain jobs than others, and this laser bed does its job very well. Recommended.
