They are very nice! The light is down in the glass so the fact that the lights are flameless doesn't show. The remote has several settings. One of the settings has the lights flickering as a real flame would; that is the setting I use, and it looks very attractive. I recommend.

I gave these to my elderly mother and she loves them -- and so does everyone else! You don't have to be "elderly" to enjoy these flickering candles. It's reassuring to know she can turn these on using the remote control, and no one has to worry about real flames being left unattended. Worst case scenario is that the batteries die! We can all live with that. I bought the set of blue hydrangeas -- my sister loved them and asked her daughter to buy the set with pink hydrangeas for her Christmas present. These arrived safely today. I tested out the batteries and they all glow the same [they didn't for another reviewer]. I tapped on them and they appear to be glass imo. The seams lines up okay on mine. These will be a pretty addition for my easter/Spring decor. I appreciate the remote for easy on/off and settings. I wish the flame was a bit more realistic but not a deal breaker. Also, I like to decorate with symmetry in some places, so these would be nice in a set.     • SO Beautiful! Great Flameless Candles Anyone Can Use

I bought these for my mom's birthday and she LOVED them. Right out of the box she said how beautiful they were. UNFORTUNATELY they did not come with batteries (they should!) - so the following weekend I took some batteries over to her house to make sure they worked. I had a problem with one of the candles in which one of the wires inside the battery compartment moved a little somehow so the battery wasn't making contact, but when I took them out of that one to try again I noticed it and was able to easily remedy the situation. She said she will use them as a night light. I think they are so pretty I plan on getting a set for myself, and then I'll be meeting my BFF for lunch soon along with her sister and may give each of them a set. You shouldn't be disappointed - they are even stunning without being turned! Also, you can choose to have the light flicker or just stay solid, and of course you have the option of the timer functions. ... show more

Super pretty! I can’t burn candles because we have a macaw, but these are a nice alternative. I like the remote and the timer settings. The lemon motifs are gorgeous.
