I love this little unit! I like the hepa filtration, and that is also has UVC light, it's super quiet, but also very efficient. I accidentally left something on the stove too long and it started to burn. Filled the kitchen and living room up with a smoky haze. Didn't want to open the windows as it was freezing outside, so I plugged this unit in and turned it on. It immediately ran at full capacity, lights showing red and a super high number on the particle scale. After only an hour it was back down to normal ratings. I've had two of these at my office, but they are there mainly for dust, not kitchen odors and smoke. Now that I've seen how it operates in more challenging circumstances, I'm impressed. I highly recommend it.

If you’re not sure about buying this air purifier, let me assure you, it works! My daughter is a nail tech and does a lot of her friends’ nails in our home. Even when she’s in the basement with her door closed, the acrylic and acetone fumes can fill most of the house in just minutes and last for hours afterward. The amount of dust that is generated from all of the nail filing and grinding concerned us as well. After a lot of research, I bought the SilverOnyx (in white), put it in her “studio” and hoped it would help, even a little. Wow!! We were stunned the first time she did a set of acrylics with the purifier running. We COULD NOT smell ANY fumes…even while standing in the studio after her friend had left! Like, none! It was amazing! When the fan speed is on high, it’s about as loud as a little personal table top fan. You can definitely hear it, but it’s not so loud and obnoxious that you have to raise your voice to be heard. When it’s on sleep mode, you literally can’t hear it at all. Complete silence. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and it’s not heavy or ugly to look at. I love the ion and LED light buttons, too. I’ll move it into our open kitchen/family room/dining room area to get rid of occasional food smells and within minutes, they’re gone! We’ve had it for about four or five months now and couldn’t be happier. I haven’t had to replace the filter yet so I can’t comment on that. What I can say is that the SilverOnyx has delivered everything it promised and exceeded my highest expectations!

Compact Air Purifier: High Performance in a Small Package Pros: Small but Powerful: Despite its compact size, this air purifier delivers impressive performance. UV Sterilization: Efficiently sterilizes the air, enhancing safety. Ionization: Effectively removes airborne particles, ensuring cleaner air. Quiet Operation: Runs very quietly on a low mode, providing minimal disruption. Toxic Air Detection: The light changes to red when it detects toxic air, alerting you to potential hazards. Long-Lasting Filter: The filter has a long lifespan and provides a warning when it's time to change. Affordable Filters: Replacement HEPA13 filters are reasonably priced. Cons: Non-CARB Certified UV: The UV feature is not CARB-certified. After using the UV for a couple of hours, I experienced throat irritation and noticed a distinct smell, prompting me to turn off the UV. Ionization Efficiency: The ion feature works well, as shown by the clumps of debris found in my dehumidifier's water waste when the air purifier operates nearby. However, it's probably not a good idea to keep the ionization feature on all the time as it produces ozone, which can be harmful to breathe, especially for those with respiratory issues.

This is an excellent model, I placed one in my kitchen and another in my theatre room. The model provides a number reading and color indicator for the are quality. I liked the auto setting that works very well. The difference in the quality of the air was noticeably crisp. I also gave some to family members as a Christmas gift. The downside is that this model does not have the 360 degree air intake for better air circulation like the Levoit model I have, but both models are excellent air purifiers. The Levoit model is quieter and appears to have a more solid construction.

Low profile and very light weight. For me, the best feature is it's simplicity. They didn't make it over complicated with excess or needless options. These three characteristics make for a well engineered unit. There is a 30 day return if not satisfied. By week two of sleeping harder, I'd made my decision. It takes air in at a 360 rather than a specific and otherwise limited section. Ive had this purifier for two months now. In so far as I can tell, it works amazingly well. It increases speed automatically to compensate for dirtier air and gives you a measurement which was one of the more alluring qualities for the price. That said, yes - passing wind near it is a good laugh when you forget this...

I love this air purifier! Besides the air purifying features, it’s worth the price for the best white noise maker ever! Several different settings from quiet to louder will lull you to sleep while clearing the air. It has a number of features but is easy to use and not overwhelming. Some consumers mentioned the SMELL - that is the ionizer. YOU DONT HAVE TO TURN ON THE IONIZER for the filter to clean the air! If you don’t like the smell of ozone, this compact sleek filter still has other allergen filtering settings. I personally do not use the ion feature (I don’t like the smell either). I typically keep it set to the 2nd or 3rd fan setting and it does a great job of keeping the air in my bedroom fresh and clean. It allows you to turn off the light also so you won’t see the glow while sleeping. I love it so much that I purchased a second one for the living room. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These are on all the time, they never die. I have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Cleaning them is a breeze. They seem to do a good job cleaning the air. We have pets and kids so these machines work hard.
