It is a good quality seal, but turned out to be smaller than I needed. My gap is about 1/4 inch and I got the 1/4 inch seal, but that doesn't work well because you need a tighter gap to get a good seal. My fault, this is still a good product.

I got this to seal a couple exterior doors that have daylight visible on my shifting old house. It comes with some primer to use on plastic, along with disposable gloves to wear when applying the (supposedly dangerous) primer, but because I applied this to metal I didn't use the primer. It sticks just fine to the metal. When shipped it is rolled up, but it is rolled up too tightly in the middle, causing creases to form in the silicone. Unfortunately these creases do not seem to come out, even several days after being applied to the door and lying flat (see photo). This results in what are effectively small gaps in the weatherstripping. The creases are only near the two ends of the weatherstripping (because of how it's wrapped), so if you use only the middle part it won't be a problem. I am taking off 2 stars because of this. If the deformations eventually flatten out, I will update this review to improve the rating.

This is an easy-to-use weather stripping, which is solid yet flexible enough to fill the gaps nicely. It has a simple form but holds it well. The red paper over the glue is no problem to remove, and I do appreciate the color difference, since it's easy to see where the paper is. The stripping sticks right away and holds well.

I wanted to make sure I got stripping made of something other than whatever I installed a few years ago on my exterior windows, because that is cracking and shredding. I think it was rubber, so I have gone with silicone this time. This roll stuck well to the wood and metal, and we will see how it holds up over time. So far, it's great. What a relief to have the coming winter sealed out.
