My scars are getting lighter and lighter and one of the reasons is my use of scar tape. I had several surgeries and unfortunately I've got scars throughout my body which make me feel self-conscious and embarrassed in public. I massage cocoa butter on them and use this scar tape. I wasn't familiar with silicone scar sheets until I ordered these. I recently had abdominal surgery and once my wounds were closed I started using these. These sheets are wide, so they covered my scar with no problem. They are sticky on one side and since they are silicone, they are soft and rubbery. The strip I needed stuck to the scar with no problem. I'm able to wear it all day in comfort. Once the stickiness started to fail, I used medical tape to keep the silicone sheet on. Silicone scar sheets can be used to treat surgical scars, scrapes, cuts, minor burns, and pressure sores. They can help soften and flatten scars, and make them less visible. Here are some tips for using silicone scar sheets: -Make sure the scar is clean and dry, and free of any creams, gels, ointments, or powders. Apply the sheet -Remove the protective backing and place the sticky side of the sheet directly onto the scar, extending at least 1/2 inch beyond the edges. You can hold the sheet in place with surgical tape or a pressure garment. -Start by wearing the sheet for a minimum of 12 hours per day, and gradually increase the duration to 24 hours if your skin can tolerate it. You can build up your skin's tolerance by wearing the sheet for 4 hours a day for two days before increasing the time. - Depending on the age and severity of the scar, treatment can typically last 2–4 months. -Wash the sheet -After removing the sheet, wash it daily with mild soap and warm water, rinse well, and pat dry with a clean, non-fluffy towel. You can also rub the sheet with a few drops of silicone cleaning soap or neutral soap to maintain adhesion and keep the silicone in good condition. Before reapplying the sheet, allow it to air dry. -Replace the sheet with a new one when it starts to deteriorate. It's too soon to say if the silicone sheets flattened my scar or not, but I've read good reports about other brands, so I'm hoping I will get the same results.

The media could not be loaded. I was really self-conscious about my scar, especially when I wore shorts or went swimming. I didn’t want to just accept that this scar would be a permanent part of my appearance. I decided to give them a try, and I’m so glad I did. One of the first things I noticed about these scar sheets is how easy they are to use. The roll of silicone tape can be easily cut to fit the size and shape of your scar, which is super convenient. Being able to cut the tape to match the exact size was really helpful. I didn’t have to worry about the sheets being too big or too small. I just measured out the right amount, cut it, and applied it directly to the scar. Another thing I was worried about was whether the sheets would stay on, especially when I showered or sweated. It’s one thing for a product to work when you’re just sitting around, but I’m pretty active, and I didn’t want the tape to peel off every time I moved too much. But these silicone sheets really surprised me with how well they stick. Once I put them on, they stayed put, even through showers and workouts. I didn’t have to keep pressing them back down or worrying about them falling off, which was a huge relief. Comfort was another big concern for me. I didn’t want to feel like I was wearing a bandage all the time or have something on my skin that made me itch or feel uncomfortable. But these silicone sheets are so breathable that I barely noticed them once they were on. They didn’t make my skin feel hot or sweaty underneath. In fact, sometimes I even forgot they were there! I could wear them all day without any discomfort, which made it easy to stick to using them regularly.

As always with medical equipment, it is really hard to assess the true changes and benefits that they impart. However, just considering the usefulness and capability of this tape, I do like it. The tape comes off the slightly rough backing really easily, and also does stick very well to both skin as well as back onto the backing if I want to remove it and save if for later use. You can gently rinse off the sticky side if it becomes less sticky and that does restore it for improved stickiness. This is wide enough for most keloid and other scars.

I've been using these silicone scar sheets for a few weeks now and I'm very satisfied with the results. The sheets are easy to apply and stay in place well. They're comfortable to wear, even during the day, and don't irritate my skin. While I haven't noticed dramatic changes yet, I can definitely see a slight improvement in the appearance of my scar. It seems to be softening and fading gradually. I'm hopeful that with continued use, the results will become even more noticeable. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product and would recommend it to others looking for a gentle and effective way to manage their scars.
