  • 4*32GB on thinkpad P17, cheapest working solution
Capacity: DDR4 3200 32GB (32GBx1) Color: 32GB (3200)
I bought 2*32GB to replace original 2*16GB. Then after two months, I decided to purchase another 2*32GB to upgrade to allowed max. 1 chip arrived is DOA, so I requested a replacement. now they're running as expected as 2933Mhz (limit of CPU, not this chip). note, it may take rather long, maybe 1 minute(only for the first time) for your laptop to recognize the new chip for the first time, so, pls be a little patient when you only have black screen after inserting new chips. If it didn't start in 2 minutes, you may have bad chips or bad slots, or there's compatibility problems. I found this chip cannot work with the original memory chips (ramemax? some brand I never heard of), they run together at 2133Mhz. So, using exact the same memory chips is still thumb of rules. and that's partly why I upgrade to the max as I'm afraid of not being able to find the same chips and will be forced to buy all 4 new chips instead. ... show more

  • It works!
Capacity: DDR4 3200 8GB (8GBx1) Color: 8GB (3200)
Delivered really fast. Tested after install to see that the total memory reflected the new card. So far (one day) everything is OK. Warning to memory upgraders ... I was led to believe that my Acer 515 had a spare slot for additional memory. Not so, so instead of gaining 8 gigs of new memory I had to remove the single slotted 4 gig card and wound up with only an additional 4. If I had known I would have paid extra and installed a 16 gig card. ... show more

  • Cheap, easy and efficient
Capacity: DDR4 3200 8GB (8GBx1) Color: 8GB (3200)
Worked in my Dell G15 5515 Ryzen edition, super easy to install and came out of the box clocked at 3200MHZ. If you're looking for a cheap, easy, efficient upgrade, definitely get yourself another stick of RAM. The improvements in game is significant. I play a lot of escape from tarkov and previously on Big maps like woods and shoreline I would only get 50 to 70 FPS but it was the dips that was the killer. Occasionally in game when a lot of stuff would happen on screen I would get dips of 15 to 20 FPS which for me is basically unplayable. But now I get a consistent 80 to 100 FPS and I've never seen a dip lower than 60 which is amazing to me coming from console. ... show more

  • Worked as expected in older hardware

Installed and working with no issues. Just make sure you need DDR3 (THREE!) for your device.

  • works well with my thinkpad p17
Capacity: DDR4 3200 32GB (32GBx1) Color: 32GB (3200)
works on think p17. when worked with original chip -- when working together downgraded from 2933mhz to 2133mhz. but they work very well at 2933mhz by themselves. this is normal and that's why better use the same memory chips for all slots.

  • Maybe a bit off on some diagnostics, but working so far
Capacity: DDR3 1600 8GB (8GBx1) Color: 8GBx1 (1600)
Admittedly, this RAM threw me for a loop. Intended to add a bit of pep to an older APU in a laptop sitting to the side, a single stick of 8GB is the largest typically available in this form factor. For a bit of backstory, I was gifted an old laptop (HP 15, AMD A8-7410 APU) by a friend, her daughter got a new one, and this one was old. I always tell people to find a home rather than tossing old computers. Having build computers from the literal trash since my childhood, I know there is always someone to take the hardware, and reuse comes before recycle! The first addition to the 4GB factory installed on the laptop was a 2gb stick from another lappy with a broken screen, found, of course, in a dumpster of an apartment complex. Beaten like an omlet, with little regard for the salvagable parts, I got what I could from it, including the hard drive, RAM and battery. The 2GB expantion went to my little HP APU, and 6GB was a welcome addition. Through the months since, after upgrading my own and partner's primary laptops to 16GB, a set of 4GB matched sticks went into the HP. Hey, that's 4, up to 6, then up to 8! Sadly, the matching has little bearing on the performance of this particular processor. It is a purely single channel RAM controller, so we can have a bit of fun. With this in place, we are now up to 12GB, with a 4GB in one slot, and 8GB in the other. It's not much, but it is 12GB on 4 cores, and more than enough to serve some basic tasks on the side. Now, on to the strange. The BIOS recognizes the RAM fine. The onboard diagnostics have a bit more trouble. I do not know if it is the timing, or some optional spec that is not implemented. Still, Windows Memory Diagnostic ran fine, a bit of an initial stress test, and this RAM absolutely runs at the lower voltages, so power savings is going to be useful here. As a bit of extra pep, the machine is notably faster, and with it's lower power RAM and processor, on top of a laptop, I have an extremely low cost and low wattage little server to do my bidding. Battery backup included. An HDMI dummy monitor keeps the machine from turning off the screen, to round out the issues remoting in, in case you want to completely replicate this build. Especially good if the onboard screen is broken... I closing, this RAM is odd, but do not let initial tests get you down. I plan to update as time goes on, with notes of stability. This is a cheap upgrade to something that can use it, but did not need it, and we will see how she goes. ... show more
