Purchased Silhouette Cameo 4 Intially things were not so bad. I learned how to use the machine and was able to cut out whatever I wanted in the way of vinyl. Issues began when I tried to branch out and it would not recognize my secondary blade. So I just went back to cutting vinyl. Little did I know that this was just the beginning. First of all I wish I had gotten the Cricut. You can find their blades, mats and accessories anywhere. Finding blades or mats for the Silhouette Cameo 4 has been nearly impossible. I know people with Cricuts and they do not have the issues with cutting their projects that I do. I use Oracal vinyl and have wasted more sheets than I can count. This machine just does whatever it wants. I have changed the blades and followed all of Silhouettes faq troubleshooting guidance. To get a decent cut on glossy vinyl I have had to go to use the following settings, 3 cut, 12 force, 2 passes and that is not always guaranteed. If I go any less it doesn't cut all the way through the vinyl. With the settings I am using now I am lucky to be able to weed some of my projects as half are sticking to the paper backing. Customer support for Silhouette is non existent. When I first bought the machine I joined the program where they send you a free mat/blade every couple of months. Well half the things listed were not for my machine. The other things were always out of stock. When I called them to complain the staff gave me attitude. I've been told Cricuts customer service is much better. Go Cricut the software may be a little much to learn at the beginning but at least they have a fully functional app and they update their software within reasonable amounts of time. Also, check out the reviews for Silhouette that have been amassing. They have complaints all over the place. They need to get it together or stop trying to compete.

Tenia la cameo 3 y actualicé a la 4 y esta una buena maquina. Hasta ahora no he tenido ningún tipo de problemas con ella. Buena maquina y buen precio con todo lo que incluye y mas cuando trae la cuchilla rotatoria que esta difícil de conseguir.

Having trouble with print and cut after a few weeks. Wasted full set of Epson inks for my printer and hundred sheets of photo paper. I was cutting circles with picture for earrings. Would cut first circle correctly and then screw up rest of page. Hundreds of worthless earrings. Contacted tech support could get through. Tried Chat and emailed twice with pictures of all the pages. Then two weeks later they told me they could not read my email. I purchased because of the free courses. What a joke. Company did ship it timely and was missing craft blades so I ordered elsewhere. They did come separate via mail. I own other cameos so I am not new to cutters.

It was between the Cricut Maker, or the Cameo 4, and of course, I had to go with the Cameo. It's very easy to set up and install, the instructions are very clear, everything is packaged well, came with so many goodies, and the software is easy to use. Now, to dive into the many projects that await me! If only my order from the 17th were here.. from the warehouse that is 30min-1hr away. 🙄

Super great bundle to start with. Everything you could need and more to get started. I have been a cricut user but switch for the 10ft cutting capabilities. The silhouette has had some learning curves but they offer so much online training, I was able to get up and running quickly. The seller absolutely great to work worth. I had gotten a bad peice, no fault to the seller at all, they were super quick to respond and send out a replacement part in mail within a day.

Easy to use , lots of great ideas are possible. I've been crafting for years using all type of hardware/software, cutting, printing, sublimation, pen creation, wood working. I created my first item (t-shirt) using the Silhouette Cameo 4 in less than 1hr. I recommend it to all who wish to make profit or make things for family & friends.
