I like to craft and this has been a huge game change for me. I've made personalized wall decorations, binder covers, clothes, cards, and more. The cricut app has some free things, but most of the patterns you need to pay separately for. However, it's pretty easy to design your own things either in the app, or in a separate drawing program and then download your file into the cricut app, and both of these processes are free to use.     • Awesome little machine!
At first I was only able to connect to Bluetooth just one time and I was never able to connect anymore after that and I tried everything about 50 times. I called technical support who said there was a one and a half hour wait on hold. I don't have that kind of time so I gave up, I was sadly going to return it. But then after watching a video I realized that I downloaded the wrong app. I downloaded an app called "Cricut Joy" instead of "Cricut design space". Don't make that mistake, because you won't be able to connect to bluetooth if you do. ... show more

My 13 year old niece got this for Christmas and has had the best time making things for people. She has lots of ideas to make some money selling things at school. Easy to use with the app on her phone.

    • There's a learning curve
There is definately a learning curve for this machine if you have no Cricut experience. After watching a few YouTube videos, and a little trial and some error, I can now produce some cute little items. I feel like there is still a ton to learn. If you are buying this, do yourself a favor and also purchase transfer tape (so much easier!) and maybe the 12" pads. It also does NOT interface with a Chromebook, so research which tablets it works best with if you are like me and don't see little details on a phone screen real well. I can't seem to find a way to create something with my computer app, save it to my stuff and then print it from my phone. Not sure why it doesn't do that, since I have an account. Oh! Speaking of that, you will need to set up an account to and that will run you about $100 annually (surprise!). I did not know that when I ordered. Anyway, it is a fun way to get started with the Cricut culture--have fun, get designing and then you can say, "I created it on my Cricut," too. ... show more

    • Extremely easy to use, and results are excellent.
I purchased this device to cut stencils for temporary ink-based tattoos. It works so, so well. I use permanent vinyl and stick it to my skin. It makes a great seal and gives me sharp results. The cutting takes less than two minutes and the device feeds quickly and simply. I am beyond satisfied.

    • Fonts and shapes are extra (or subscription)
The product is great but it doesn't come with many fonts and some are too delicate for vinyl at small sizes and it doesn't tell you. The ability to print and cut on write on vinyl is great but it only comes with one pen and a tiny piece of practice vinyl. Crocut's vinyl is fine but their transfer tape is garbage. The regular is too weak to lift it off the backing and the strong is like duct tape and won't transfer. ... show more

    • LOVE this Cricut Joy, easy & fast!
I have a maker, which I love, but this joy makes my life so much easier for quick jobs. I love that you can “smart feed” vinyl to it. If you don’t want to buy the smart feed products, just measure out your vinyl and cut it down to the size of a joy mat and go for it! My first project on this was to do a window sign for a friends shop. I used glitter vinyl that they had purchased. I cut it a little off so my vinyl had some wrinkles (which was also easy to remedy) but if you measure right it’s so easy. This is the BEST tool for so many projects. So happy! ... show more
