Silhouette Cameo 4 Plus 15 Inch Version: Upgraded from a Cameo 2, and so far LOVING it as now I can cut so many different mediums and not restricted to just thin papers! There was definitely a learning curve and had to upgrade my Silhouette Studio app on the desktop in order to use the Cameo 4 Plus, but having the Blu-Tooth option is a life saver and one less plug to have attached. Ps... it will cut thin felt sheets if you have the correct blade in slot #2!

Excellent plotter, an amazing tool. It works perfectly. I’m just starting in this field, so I decided to go with the latest model. I’m already planning to get the Silhouette Studio Pro (Business) license. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Now it’s time to practice and learn new techniques. The limit is your imagination and creativity. I 100% recommend it.

My Cameo 4 Plus arrived today. I had some misgivings about purchasing it: At least one reviewer stated that it would not work with the Mac. My question about Silhouette Connect (an Adobe Illustrator plugin) compatibility went unanswered, so I ordered the Cameo 4 Plus and crossed my fingers. Here's the good news: the Cameo 4 works fine with the Mac (I'm running High Sierra) and also with Silhouette Connect with Illustrator 2020. This new model is very fast compared to the original Cameo Silhouette (which I've been using to cut paper and fabric since 2013). Now for the not so good news: The Cameo 4 Plus ships with absolutely NO user manual and no user manual seems to be available on the web. There are a few help files online, but the information provided is very minimal. For example: Under the AutoBlade for the Cameo 4, users are told that it functions in a manner very similar to the previous version. That's about it! As for adjusting the rollers for 12" x 12" mats, I had to guess about the correct position. I'm quite sure that the Cameo 4, with it's specialty blades and vastly increased force, will be wonderful to use once I figure it out. This is my third digital cutter, so I'm capable of making pretty good guesses about what to do and how to test cut materials. However, Silhouette of America really should provide a basic downloadable PDF user manual with labeled diagrams, suggested blade choices and settings and a troubleshooting section. This doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation.

This machine works great. Very simple to use, and the program that comes with it is user-friendly! Lots of videos on YouTube on how it works. But the best way to learn is to just use it! It is loud, but cuts all the vinyl that I have been using and sticker paper as well. I've included a video of it cutting metallic vinyl. It's quick. It's lightweight and not too big- even though I went with the plus to get the extra inches. Can't wait to use it more!

Ya estoy usando la Silhouette Cameo 4 Plus y hasta ahora me ha encantado. La compré para hacer etiquetas, cortar stickers y otros detalles para mis productos, y trabaja muy bien. Los cortes salen precisos y el tamaño del mat me permite trabajar piezas más grandes sin problema. La instalación fue sencilla y el software Silhouette Studio es fácil de entender si lo usas con calma. Me gusta que puedo personalizar mis diseños y cortar exactamente la forma que necesito. El equipo viene completo, con sus accesorios y el tapete de corte grande, así que pude empezar a usarla de una vez. Hasta ahora no me ha dado fallas y estoy satisfecha con la compra. La recomiendo para quien trabaja con stickers, vinil o etiquetas artesanales como yo. Es una máquina muy útil y vale la inversión.
