- The Silhouette Cameo 4 is the evolution in desktop cutting. The sleek Backlit touch panel lets you load, unload, and pause your projects in style. Conveniently stored in the machine's compact pull-out drawer is a new built in roll feeder for quickly cutting vinyl and heat transfer material directly from a roll. On the back of the Cameo 4 You will find a built in cross cutter allowing for a clean straight edge cut on your vinyl roll for your next project.
- The unique dual carriage allows for Tool Type detection. The Cameos ultra-smart system uses tool sensor technology that detects what tool you are using which then triggers the Silhouette Studio software to adjust cut settings automatically. The Cameo 4 stands apart from previous models with the new dual motor system, which allows you to cut in two distinct ways. Carriage one provides the Cameo 4 with unparalleled speed. It is operated from a solenoid motor that gives smooth and intricate cuts.
- The Cameo 4 carriage 2 boasts additional cutting force! With the increased downforce of the Cameo 4, we now offer a new rotary and Kraft blade (Sold separately) that have been specifically designed to operate with the Cameo smart tangential technology. With smart tangential technology the Cameo 4 cuts thicker material without sacrificing quality with each cut. The Cameo 4 offers true mat-less cutting which allows cutting cardstock, paper, and other materials without using a mat.
- Cameo 4 can cut or sketch up to 3x faster than previous models without sacrificing accuracy. Carriage two is operated by an entirely different style of motor that allows for unprecedented power. The autoblade has been reconfigured especially for the Cameo 4. Silhouette does not offer any Tech Support these days, none! You have to know how to work with this machine and the software. This is not a beginner machine, although I would not go with any other brand, the learning curve is stiff, but there are enough FB groups and YouTube videos out there to help answer any question you have. This was a gift for my daughter, she has been using silhouette machines for as long as I have *about 10 years* and was just upgrading from her cameo 3. No problems after she got the correct settings dialed in. Love Silhouette, disappointed that they don't offer Tech Support, even email support is non existent these days.. truly sad for such a nice machine.

I have the original Silhouette Cameo and it has been a good little machine for years. I decided to splurge and upgrade my machine so I bought the Cameo 4. It cuts well and quickly - when it works. I have been unsuccessful in getting the bluetooth to work even once and after 2 weeks it has decided on multiple occasions to not be available when I go to cut a project. *IF* it recognizes that it's connected to my computer (and that's a big IF), it will briefly say it's available and then that goes away and I cannot cut my project but the status shows it's connected to the machine via USB. I thought I could work around it by using bluetooth - nope. Thankfully my original Silhouette does still work and I hadn't gotten rid of it yet so I've had to revert back to using that to complete projects. It's pretty frustrating to "upgrade" to a product that doesn't work as well as the "old" version. I'm retiring this machine and the seller is going to replace with the same item - hopefully that one will work properly for more than 2 weeks.

I was in a personal tug of war over this and the Cricut models. I settled on this due to reviews of the software for both companies. After talking to numerous customers at my local vinyl shop, they too want the Cameo 4 now due to the fact no cutting mat is required (unless it is HTV, I would always use a mat for HTV, and a mat is required if you have small pieces of vinyl you want to use up instead of trashing), it can use rolls of vinyl, has a cutter on the back, the auto blade is freaking awesome (setting in the program right before you cut and you can test it first before cutting the whole design), and it can cut continuous design up to 10ft long.

We own a Cricut and needed an additional cutting machine for our Esty business. When we started using this there was a small learning curve because we were so ruined from the Cricut. As someone who designs in Adobe Illustrator, I love using the Silhouettes software. We can cut stickers in 1/3 the amount of time the Cricut can do it in. If you are looking at getting either a Cricut or Silhouette, hands down get a Silhouette you will not be disappointed.

I like the machine very much! First time having a cutting machine and I am enjoying all the things you can do with this. The only disappointment is some of the items were missing-specifically the temporary tattoos. Which was a sad because the grandkids came this weekend and I would have loved to made them some as they would have enjoyed those. The only reason I didn’t not leave 5 stars was incomplete package per the description.

I upgraded my Cameo 2 for this one. I absolutely love the machine and it was easy to pair with my 2010 Mac Book. My only complaint is that the bundle came with 2 standard grip and 1 light grip mat, which the description states it would also include 1 strong grip. I also did not receive the pixscan mat. Tried contacting the seller but no option through amazon.

Must buy if you like to craft. The vynal it comes with is ok. The make sure you buy a extra blade. The blade mine came with didn't work well. Since owning it I have made over a hundred projects. If you are looking at buying a Silhouette watch lot of YouTube videos for help. Join Silhouette groups on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok they will help you. Plus have lots of patience.

I got this to replace my gen 1 cameo and I love it! I was a little bummed at first because it didn't include the pix scan mat it said it came with, but the seller responded very quickly to my concern and sent me out the mat I was missing at no extra charge. Great customer service and a great product. I'll definitely be shopping with them again!

Once I figured out how to use the program for rhinestones it works great. Down side - you have to purchase an upgrade to the software to do rhinestones and purchase a subscription to get a discount when purchasing images to work with from silhouette. Trying to get assistance from Silhouette during set up and upgrade was a joke.
