- The Silhouette Cameo Plus is a larger version of the Cameo 4 desktop cutting machine. It can accommodate material widths of up to 15 inches and lets you make precision cuts in vinyl, cardstock, fabric, and more. Conveniently stored in the machine's compact pull-out drawer is a new built in roll feeder for quickly cutting vinyl and heat transfer material directly from a roll. On the back of the Cameo 4 Plus you will find a built in cross cutter allowing for a clean straight edge cut on your vinyl
- The Cameo Plus has a unique dual carriage allowing for tool Type detection. The machine's ultra-smart system uses tool sensor technology that detects what tool you are using which then triggers the silhouette Studio software to adjust cut settings automatically.
- The Cameo 4 Plus stands apart from previous models with the new dual motor system, which allows you to cut in two distinct ways. Carriage one provides the Cameo 4 Plus with unparalleled speed. It is operated from a solenoid motor that gives makers smooth and intricate cuts. Cameo 4 Plus can cut or sketch up to 3x faster than previous models without sacrificing accuracy.
- The Cameo 4 Plus carriage 2 boasts additional cutting force! With the increased downforce of the Cameo 4 Plus, we now offer a new rotary and Kraft blade (Sold separately) that have been specifically designed to operate with the Cameo smart tangential technology. With smart tangential technology the Cameo 4 Plus cuts thicker material without sacrificing quality with each cut. The Cameo 4 Plus offers true mat-less cutting which allows cutting cardstock, paper, and other materials without using a cutting mat.
- The Silhouette AutoBlade has been reconfigured especially for the Cameo 4. This second generation AutoBlade will have a single-tap reset which will reduce the time needed for the Cameo 4 to automatically adjust the blade setting for your project.

I love this machine. It has opened up avenues of creativity that I didn't know I had. I've made T-shirts, stickers, decals, done some metal engraving, created stencils, made some etched glassware. And I haven't even had it a month. I toyed with the idea of getting a vinyl cutter of my own for a few years, actually. I've had my eye on the Cricut Maker series but didn't really care for their policy of locking you into their ecosystem. I'm so happy with this machine. I only wish I had gotten one sooner.

The media could not be loaded. An absolutely wonderful device with limitless possibilities! You can purchase blades and attachments for different materials. With it, I can cut materials such as paper, cardstock, vinyl (including heat transfer vinyl), fabric, felt, leather, foam board, and other dense materials. The Cameo 4+ also features a built-in roll feeder, allowing you to work with vinyl or other roll materials without using a cutting mat. For cutting, you can use the AutoBlade (included), which automatically adjusts to the type of material. It connects via USB or Bluetooth, which is very convenient when you want to avoid extra cables. You can perform contour cutting (Print & Cut), and there are additional tools available for embossing, drawing, and creating textured patterns. This model is perfect for both beginners and professionals involved in designing, creating stickers, cards, decorations, clothing with prints, and much more!

My Cameo 4 Plus arrived today. I had some misgivings about purchasing it: At least one reviewer stated that it would not work with the Mac. My question about Silhouette Connect (an Adobe Illustrator plugin) compatibility went unanswered, so I ordered the Cameo 4 Plus and crossed my fingers. Here's the good news: the Cameo 4 works fine with the Mac (I'm running High Sierra) and also with Silhouette Connect with Illustrator 2020. This new model is very fast compared to the original Cameo Silhouette (which I've been using to cut paper and fabric since 2013). Now for the not so good news: The Cameo 4 Plus ships with absolutely NO user manual and no user manual seems to be available on the web. There are a few help files online, but the information provided is very minimal. For example: Under the AutoBlade for the Cameo 4, users are told that it functions in a manner very similar to the previous version. That's about it! As for adjusting the rollers for 12" x 12" mats, I had to guess about the correct position. I'm quite sure that the Cameo 4, with it's specialty blades and vastly increased force, will be wonderful to use once I figure it out. This is my third digital cutter, so I'm capable of making pretty good guesses about what to do and how to test cut materials. However, Silhouette of America really should provide a basic downloadable PDF user manual with labeled diagrams, suggested blade choices and settings and a troubleshooting section. This doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation.
