  • The Silhouette Cameo Plus is a larger version of the Cameo 4 desktop cutting machine. It can accommodate material widths of up to 15 inches and lets you make precision cuts in vinyl, cardstock, fabric, and more. Conveniently stored in the machine's compact pull-out drawer is a new built in roll feeder for quickly cutting vinyl and heat transfer material directly from a roll. On the back of the Cameo 4 Plus you will find a built in cross cutter allowing for a clean straight edge cut on your vinyl
  • The Cameo Plus has a unique dual carriage allowing for tool Type detection. The machine's ultra-smart system uses tool sensor technology that detects what tool you are using which then triggers the silhouette Studio software to adjust cut settings automatically.
  • The Cameo 4 Plus stands apart from previous models with the new dual motor system, which allows you to cut in two distinct ways. Carriage one provides the Cameo 4 Plus with unparalleled speed. It is operated from a solenoid motor that gives makers smooth and intricate cuts. Cameo 4 Plus can cut or sketch up to 3x faster than previous models without sacrificing accuracy.
  • The Cameo 4 Plus carriage 2 boasts additional cutting force! With the increased downforce of the Cameo 4 Plus, we now offer a new rotary and Kraft blade (Sold separately) that have been specifically designed to operate with the Cameo smart tangential technology. With smart tangential technology the Cameo 4 Plus cuts thicker material without sacrificing quality with each cut. The Cameo 4 Plus offers true mat-less cutting which allows cutting cardstock, paper, and other materials without using a cutting mat.
  • The Silhouette AutoBlade has been reconfigured especially for the Cameo 4. This second generation AutoBlade will have a single-tap reset which will reduce the time needed for the Cameo 4 to automatically adjust the blade setting for your project.

Pros: The new autoblade in Cameo 4 Plus is fantastic. The higher speed is welcome. The increased cutting pressure is also welcome, but you may inadvertently ruin material getting used to it. Test cut first! The settings and tools in Silhouette Studio Business are worth the investment if you want to step out of the simplest editing and cutting. (Check Swing Design’s website for sales on gift cards and upgrades. I bought gift cards on sale, then used them to buy the upgrades on sale.) I like the wider cutting width, but it is NOT a full 15”, more like 14.5”. That’s not a huge amount, but if you’re cutting multiple small stickers or names, that’s a whole extra row! It took a while to get used to the Cameo 4, and now I like it, but I had to mess up a lot to get there. I cut through my included mat, for instance, because I had the depth set too deep. Cons: Carriage 2 is the extra-height carriage for cutting thicker materials. The description doesn’t make this clear. The cb09 blades and holder only fit in carriage 1, because the carriages and tools each have different shapes. The cb09 holder hangs low in carriage 1, so you lose the advantage of having a blade that cuts deeper. At the time of this review, there’s no adapter or blade holder that fits carriage 2. You can use Nicapa mats with this Cameo, but they are almost twice as thick as OEM Silhouette mats. I get much better results with OEM mats. Conclusion: The learning curve was so steep at first I was thinking I’d made a terrible mistake upgrading, but once I got the hang of this machine, I was happy. Having a higher speed and more pressure is GREAT. Take in the tutorials at Swing Design and on YouTube, and take the scraps you’ve been saving and sacrifice them in the pursuit of learning. ... show more

this is a wonderful vinyl cutter for home or small business use , its cuts smooth and the software is pretty easy to use once you watch a few tutorials. only thing I wish is that it should have come with a user guide explaining how to use it. good thing YouTube exists! after trial and error I was able to create beautiful decals , I did find that using the cutting mat works much better than trying to cut without it on vinyl alone. I used it with orcal permanent vinyl i purchased separately from Amazon, I found it was cheaper to buy everything separately than to buy a bundle deal. especially since they wasnt a bundle deal available at my time of purchase. take your time and watch some online tutorials before attempting to use it , you will have a much smoother experience ... show more

I am so frustrated with this Cameo 4Plus I just don’t know what else to do. I purchased it in May and just recently started using it a couple of weeks ago and I have gotten it to do a full Print and Cut about 3-4 times. It won’t go through the registration points and if it does then when it get back to the top it kicks it out. I have watched so many videos and done everything imaginable and still it won’t work. There are so many videos on how this machine won’t work right and it should not be that way. Very stressful. ... show more
