Description

The all new Cameo 4 now features a built in roll feeder. Since select rolled materials (such as vinyl and heat transfer material) have their own backing, They generally do not require a cutting mat and can be fed directly into the Silhouette cutting machine. The roll feeder provides an easy and convenient way to hold rolled material as it is being fed into the Silhouette cutting machine, thus allowing you the convenience of cutting longer jobs while properly aligning your material so that it is straight as it feeds through the machine.

at first it was extremely difficult to use, and wasnt even cutting the vinyl in the right spots. After watching some tutorials though i figured out how to make it work :) its super good and everything came in nicely package i definitely recommend! heres some tips btw: •make sure to print out the registration marks within the print border, and dont make your image bigger or overlap the print border, cut border, or registration marks. •watch youtube tutorials and test it out on just a plain sheet of paper so you dont waste any product (believe me its going to take multiple tries to get it right) •when inserting the blade, make sure that it is securely pushed down and INTO the machine, there shouldnt be any gaps between the blade and the blade holder. Even though it might say that your blade is already detected, that doesnt mean its securely in. •if your silhoutte is cutting in the wrong spots, it can be either: the blade isn’t securely in or, you moved the image with the registration marks before or after printing. When you finish adding your registration marks on an image, dont move around the image itself otherwise it wont line up, just print it and insert it into the silhoutte, then from your pc just click send to start cutting hope this helps! also recommend looking into how to line up your cutting mat into the silhoutte, it gave me alot of trouble at first lol also im giving it 5 stars for easy to use cause it technically is if u follow every instruction correctly ... show more

Silhouette's software is superior and so much easier to use from a design perspective. There is a bit of a learning curve, as with anything, but Silhouette makes a great product. I have been a long time user of the Silhouette Cameo and upgraded to the 4 so I could cut crepe paper (which requires a rotary blade that is extra and did not come with this order). While the rotary blade worked fine, I had continued issues with the auto blade that came with it and the replacement blade that I purchased to see if it was an issue with the blade. Both blades worked initially for a couple of cuts on cardstock but then would not cut at all. I did multiple things to troubleshoot the issue and it is odd that it worked a couple of times then stopped working with the same material. I ended up returning it and purchasing it elsewhere. I do really hate how much the Silhouette company's customer service has diminished. They wanted me to do multiple things and get video of the problem before even hearing about the issue. I will see if the replacement machine works better but I may be shifting to a Circuit, which after over almost two decades with using various Silhouette machines I thought I would never do. I will have my Silhouette 3 and that bday be the last I own from this company. I do wonder if thisb over from Amazon was a reconditioned machine. ... show more
