The box these 30 Ib dumbbells smelled like gasoline as did the rubber on the weights. After leaving them outside on the porch and then the garage for months I assumed that the smell would disappear but now the closet off my gym where these weights are stored smells like gas. This is a rash a got after using these dumbbells. Whatever the material were used to manufacture these are not safe. I've never had a reaction like this in my entire life and needed to be medically treated. Beware!

These dumbells had a black residue that came off easily on our hands, clothing, and whatever they touched. They also had a very strong, offensive odor.
