    • Don’t tighten the legs until….

The stools are a great value and look so nice. The one thing to keep in mind is don’t tighten the legs and crossbars until you hold the legs tightly together as you put the wood screws in while tightening the bars. Then you should tighten the metal screws into the legs. At first I thought we needed to replace the bars and legs but tried loosening the metal screws, push the legs and bars together while another person screwed in the wooden screws. Worked wonderfully and so glad we did not have to return them. Definitely a value. I added felt pads on the bottom of the legs to protect our floors. Hope these hold up for a few years. ... show more

Product description shows that they arrive assembled…they do not. Assembly instructions are not clear. The parts are labeled alpha on the instructions but numeric on the pieces. Also some of the holes don’t line up exactly between the legs and the stretchers. But once I figured it out on the first one assembly wasn’t too bad on the rest. Also, they don’t have floor glides and the wood on the bottom of legs is pretty rough. Seems like they would scratch floors so I’ll add glides. We just built a new home and I was being very picky about what barstools I wanted for our island. My husband found these when poking around and we ordered them. So happy we did! They are well made, heavy duty, comfy, durable. All the things. And I love the way they look with our island. Def recommend. Oh also they were easy to put together! I just hope who ever invented Allen bolts/screws always has a warm pillow and wet socks bc they SUCK. It shouldn’t take me 10 yrs to screw in a bolt. That is all. BUY THESE STOOLS. ... show more

Even though the instructions say it takes two or more to assemble, it only took me about twenty minutes alone to assemble both (and I am a 72 y.o. Great grandmother)!! Instructions are vague at best, but let your common sense kick in and you will be fine. They look great, feel great, and are perfect for when my youngest grandchildren come for a stay!! ... show more
