It's a nice heavy piece of furniture. Easy to assemble and not made in China. Some pieces arrived damaged, luckily enough I was able to fix the damaged pieces. The package arrived & they leaned it against my house. All the pieces fell to one end of the box. they were supposed to ship this laying down judging by all the arrows that were on the box , and didn't. We had been searching forever for a piece that suited our needs. We wanted something better in quality than ikea but weren't looking to spend a fortune. We saw a similar (almost identical except the finish) piece from Raymour for a couple hundred more. Then we found this for right around $300. It was delivered with free shipping partially assembled (front and sides attached but folded) but full assembly was VERY easy. we had it unpacked and completely built within 30 minutes. First thing we noticed was how sturdy all the pieces are, this is not made of flimsy pressboard and is SOLID. the front openings are very deep, we can fit a ps5 in there with enough room from the top and back to properly ventilate. We did have to put our receiver on top however, openings weren't big enough to properly ventilate so keep that in mind (MEASURE). overall, we are thrilled with this piece. unbeatable value for the price! ... show more

It's a decent piece of furniture if it weren't for all the issues. 1. Packaging is inadequate for an item of this size and weight to be bounced around in a package truck. My item arrived with 5 holes in the box, and multiple parts damaged. After having the seller send me a replacement item, it also arrived with damaged parts. Maybe it's the seller's fault, maybe the shipping carrier. But in my opinion, it's the manufacturer for cheaping out on the packaging. 2. Defective finish. In addition to the shipping damage, there were pieces that just had finishing issues, or veneer problems from the factory. I even had one part that had a large crack right at the point where one of the screws went in. I know it was from the factory, because I could see that there was stain inside the crack. 3. Factory assembly issues. This item has parts that are joined with hinges for ease of assembly. Unfortunately, some of these hinges were mis-located so that you had to force the connected panels open (bending and distorting said hinges). Also, the 2 doors don't operate very smoothly as a result. 4. Color is misrepresented. The listing said "reddish." No, it's just brown. So it doesn't really match the rest of the furniture in my living room. You might think that given all of these issues, I would have given it fewer stars. But I was able to assemble one good unit out of pieces from the 2 that I had received, despite all the defective and damaged parts. I was very lucky in that respect. Maybe the next person will be luckier and have all good parts in one box. When it's all said and done, it's a very useful piece of furniture that fits my space and needs, and looks good doing it. Also, it was one of the easiest pieces of furniture to assemble that I have ever purchased. To top it off, it was half the price that they sold it for at the Ashley store. In summary, if you buy this item, you may end up with headaches to deal with. You have to decide if it's worth the risk. ... show more

Our old tv stand (and I do mean OLD) was cheap and falling apart but it was hard finding a replacement that was well made and close in size. I can't tell you how happy I am that we found this! The size is perfect, the color is rich and can blend into any decor, and it's wood - like really wood - not particle board or MDF or veneer. This tv stand is heavy but the assembly is a breeze! This was easily one of the easiest builds we have done to date. The only gotcha is you really do need to be sure that all screws are in before tightening everything down. We missed one by accident and had to undo all of them to get it in. The size is perfect for our space and the doors/shelves, etc add nice flexibility. I also LOVE that the back panel is so generous with holes for cords. They are thoughtfully placed and generously sized to easily accommodate even the biggest power cords and HMDI cables. I wish we had found it sooner! Definitely worth every penny! ... show more

Similar to most ready-to-assemble furniture pieces but a step above those found at your local big box hardware store, the Ashley TV stand comes partially assembled (the exterior base was folded with hinges and screws) but mostly uses four stout screws near the top that holds the form-fit shelves in place. The box was crushed when it arrived. All pieces were ok except for top panel which was crushed as well. Got it in May, still waiting on replacement part for top from Ashley. In July . I'll update if I ever get the replacement piece. Update : The broken top has arrived. And the piece is a beautiful piece of furniture.
