I believe this dresser is a really decent value for the money. I bought both the dresser and the end table, the dresser portion cost $300 at the time of purchase. I assume if you are reading reviews you probably did what I was doing. I was trying to find a decent dresser that I could use in my house that was not preassembled and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I was looking for something that would decently hold up for a few years. I had some worries that the item I got would be extremely heavy and returns would be a nightmare. So I hopelessly scrolled through the many off brand companies with 'fly by night' names. I chose this one because I knew Ashley furniture should be at least halfway decent and the price wasn't bad at all. That being said, I don't really understand all the other reviews. Some of the reviews were comparing this as it was going to be some heirloom furniture that they would pass down for generations. I think if you temper your expectations this is a very good value for what it is. The unit comes flat packed and extremely well padded and secured. Mine came through flawlessly and I watched the person delivering it for the most part drop it on its side on my deck stairs. The wood is not solid, nor should you be expecting that at the $300 price point, however the construction was lets say more thoughtful than I have seen some in the past. It wasn't the best but everything was in its place, drilled correctly and I had no problems through setup. Keep in mind that this is particle board and during some points before things are secure you need to be careful. Yes the back is a condensed piece of cardboard but when tacked in it makes everything much more structurally sound. The drawers do only come out so far, I am assuming this meet some sort of new regulation. It appears that all the dressers I was looking at do this and I don't think it is a deal breaker. I do like that the drawer slides are pre-installed and that they are perfectly straight everything came out even and looking great. One thing that I would have liked to see them redesign would be the drawers and how they are put together. They use this sort of hook that is designed specifically for particle board where is destructively hooks in to make a connection. I don't think this is the greatest way of putting these together, however on the other hand I don't get the sense like anything is going to fall apart. The screws that hold the drawers in a pretty short so getting them to attach to the slides can be a little tricky and the slides are a bit sharp on the edges so care should be taken. Otherwise I am completely happy with the purchase. If you are looking for a decent dresser from a company that actually has a name that is known this may be the right choice. If I needed any more pieces I would continue to order the items from Ashley. ... show more

Received the dresser and the boxes were perfect looking. No obvious shipping damage. I inspected every bit of the boxes before starting assembly. Assembly was not bad. I do wish they used something more solid to fasten the drawers together as they feel rather flimsy even after assembly. What was disappointing was the lack of quality on the finish. Multiple drawers have laminate missing or chipped. One corner of a face for one of the drawers has a rather terrible cut that has caused a frayed look. The top panel has one spot at the edge that the edging material has been damaged or not properly adhered. Normally Ashely furniture is far superior than this. Was quite disappointed. Free returns sounds like a great thing unless it’s furniture that is all assembled now. Also trying to remember how to restack in the packaging would be almost impossible. Sadly disappointed in Ashley this time around. ... show more

My partner and I bought this dresser and the matching night stands in our bedroom upgrade. The assembly was very easy — just pay attention to where the front and back is. Doing the nightstands first made putting the dresser together way easier. The dresser seems to be very sturdy and has a ton of shortage space. The drawers do not come out as far as you might hope given the depth, but that’s not a deal breaker. We love how clean it looks and it brightens up our “millennial grey” aesthetic 😂 ... show more

It’s a nice dresser, very spacious and relatively straightforward to put together. It looks nice and has a good feel when closing the drawers. I hate how the drawers only pull out halfway though, makes it a pain to get to things in the back of the drawers. Im assuming this is a safety feature. This could be tweaked by drilling some new holes i just didnt feel like putting in the effort yet ... show more

Pros: Looks nice. Good price during black friday sale. Functions. Cons: Drawers only come out half way. Some imperfections on cuts of dresser. Variable sizes in gaps. Lots of sawdust had to be cleaned off during assembly. Having been in the market for a new dresser, I can say that there weren't too many dressers cheaper than this one of this size and appearance, especially when it was on sale during black friday. That said, you get what you pay for. Most annoying is the fact that the drawers only come halfway out and have to be screwed/unscrewed to get them fully in and out. The dresser does look very nice. It is serving its purpose for me, but is the type of dresser I won't mind leaving behind if/when I move. ... show more

I bought this dresser as well as the matching pieces for one of my guest bedrooms that is rarely used. It looked so good that I actually swapped it into my other guest room that gets the most use. It was a little time consuming to assemble but not difficult.
