I own and love all my sigma lenses but THIS one has got to be the worst performing one of the bunch. The autofocus is absolutely horrible. It constantly backtracks and spends way too much time trying to focus. The amount of shots that I've missed because of this lens is astronomical. Even updating the firmware of the lens proved fruitless. The lens quality and sharpness is fine for the price. Its definitely usable but limited to its lackluster performance. By far the worst L-mount lens and the worst sigma lens I've ever used. Unfortunately I missed my return window but hopefully this review will prevent others from making the same mistake. ... show more

I am looking for additional small lens for my TL2 other than 18/2.8. At $2xx this lens is a steal. It’s lightweight and not that bulky in reality. I bought this lens for my Lumix S5, since my camera has aps-c mode I was thinking of taking advantage of its maximum aperture of f/1.4 and also thinking that it would become almost a 50mm. I've tried it out taking photos and videos where I work, on TV cooking shows, and at social events. Sharpness at f/1.4 is perhaps not the sharpest, but already at f/1.8 and f/2 it is excellent. My only problem is that I thought it could be used for shooting at 120fps, but I had not read that the S5 does not support slow motion at those speeds with aps-c lenses, that was my mistake. All in all it was an excellent purchase and somewhat cheaper than buying full frame lenses. ... show more
