    • Exceptional 28 mm 1.4 lens even beats the Zeiss Otus 28 mm 1.4
Sigma has outdone itself again. Along with the Sigma 105 mm1.4, 40mm 1.4 and now the 28 mm 1.4 are the finest optical lenses made. These designs seem to focus on a no holds bared policy of producing the best optical lens with a cinematic rendering of images. This is similar to the Zeiss Otus philosophy but the difference is autofocus (Sigma) instead of manual focus, and also pricing. The sigma costing at a minimum 1/3 of the price of the Zeiss autofocus. In my case, with Adorama’s price of $799 significantly less. The lens is large but not unwieldy. It’s the same size of Otus, but unlike the Otus, it can autofocus. In my test the Sigma 28mm 1.4 was sharp corner to corner wide open at 1.4. This is quite astonishing! Real world testing by lens rental shows mtf data superior to the Zeiss Otus. Highly Recommended!     • Great lens but not completely silent
I finally received this lens after months of waiting and it works great. The focus is very snappy, just as good as my Sony Zeiss. The downfall is that it makes a little bit of noise when focusing. So it`s not the best choice for vlogging, interviews and similar work.
